Does anyone on here know which type of coolant to use in our VehiCrosses? DexCool or regular? How much? Any information on this would be appreciated.
good question. i've wondered this myself, but haven't taken the time to search and see if the site has an existing thread that answers this Q. :p :p :p
Can anybody provide a quick answer?

The cd manual suggests genuine Isuzu coolant (ethylene-glycol based) with no additives or inhibitors (I take this to mean rust inhibitors, but....?)
It also lists the total cooling system capacity at 8.8 litres (2.32 US gallons), although in another section of the manual it gives totals of 7.1 Litres, and 7.4 US quarts respectively, so I'd say start with the lowest number and add if necessary.
It doesn't really say whether to use a 50/50 mix, but I think that's pretty much the standard. For no more than is necessary, I always use distilled water too, especially when dealing with aluminum.
That's all I got! :D

I just filled up my tank with Prestone premixed 50/50 universal green antifreeze. I was (still am???) leaking juice and my reservoir was low so I filled it with this.
So far so good. I hope it is ok.

I have been an original owner and mine came from the factory with green anti-freeze which I assume would be Isuzu's brand.
I did however switch to "Havoline Dexcool" after about a year of ownership and have been running it with no issues since. I did have to flush the cooling system a couple of times to get all of the green coolant out so as to not have any mix with the new dexcool...as I didn't want "mud" colored anti-freeze!
If you look to the far right of my photo you can see the coolant recovery bottle with the Havoline Dexcool in it.
