LOL, awesome! I was doing that in the big lot here at work yesterday. The VX is really hard to get into a full donut spin cause of the short wheel base I think. It loves to slide but getting it to whip in circles is tough...

E-brake, people, E-brake! :)

So is that the trick?
As soon as I get my new brakes and rotors installed I am going to head up to the PLAYA and take some video.
You know what would be awesome? If Ascinder and CrnCnn join me and we get some REALLY B@D@SS video footage racing over the dry lake bed...
Bart
E-brake, people, E-brake! :)
That WOULD be a cool video! Do it... do it.

Which one is faster?
The amigo :p The 3.2 is only 10hp lower stock than the vx. So with the supercharger it brings it over the stock vx. plus the amigo is a 5speed
We got it dyno'd and found it was running lean. So we got some more work to do on it.

Unlike most other cars, I would NOT recomend pulling the e-brake up in the VX while sliding!
I tried this a couple of times over the years and it just causes the VX to nose dive and come to a complete stop. :_wtf:
lol
I was able to get my VX to do tight doughnuts before, I've since purchased new tires though and found this makes it tougher. I don't feel the shorter wheel base has anything to do with it at all.

We got some snow a couple of days ago and I decided to put the E-brake to work - I've never done it with the VX. I got two results: Once in deeper stuff I just went straight. But the next time I was in shallower stuff and it slid sideways real nice. It may be hard to pull a controlled cookie but I imagine a full throttle surge after heading into that type of slide would be hella cool with the wheel cranked full turn! I hope to try it again next snowfall! :)

I believe when you pull the e-brake in the VX the TOD senses the wheels slipping and engaeges the front wheels. That is the cause for the nosediving and going straight. LOL so no e-brake fun in a VX, unless you cut the previously mentioned blue wire, but then the gas pedal becomes way more fun than the e-brake! ;)
Nah, I got it to turn - you just have to time it right!

I have a VX and Amigo. Love them both. I thought that Isuzu would start making a 2 door SUV again. The Amigo/Rodeo was a very good looking vehicle next to the VX.
