Is this any good? Is there a better kit available or that is more cost efficient? I've never used one of these before. I was just looking for something more cool, maybe blue or something different.

the previous owner of my VX ponied up the cash for the HID kit, and i LOVE it. visibility at night is incredible. only downside is that vehicles coming from the opposite direction very often think that i have my brights on and flash me. :p

I've had the HID for sometime now and it's great with the 5000k bulbs it's more of clean white look once they've warmed up. You might P.M. Tone, he has kits or he'll lead you in the right direction...WARNING... You'll never go back to normal lighting again...

VCrossfan,
Do you have the same HID kit that Tone's sells? Is it the same one?
Thanks

Yes I think it's an early kit Tone sold, I purchased it from "Coachreed" when he was selling his left over parts...

I own the early 5000K as well - purchased from Tone. I absolutely love it and believe it to be a great mod. I've been seeing someone on eBay advertizing a kit for less than $200 (with shipping) - I'm not sure about the quality though:
