i had a friend help, he laid there with two sets of pliers (with no teeth... or with small pieces of wood over them, just to protect the lines) he pinched off the lines on both sides, i pulled the side towards the engine out and emptied the fuel in the filter into a can, pulled the other side off, connected the new one and changed the clamps to the screw on kind... id say 20 minutes or so.. mine didnt want to come loose so it took a lil bit of time.. WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES i was expecting it and still got fuel on my face.. woulda sucked major if i didnt have my goggles on

Its real easy, just like above just pinch the lines and watch out for the extra fuel that drains out. I didnt wear any goggles and paid the price. I dont think they are needed if you are cautious.
