I'm not sure what this is:

It looks like a safari bar version for the rear and I've GOT to have one <drooling>

haha i am all over your questions today... one step ahead of u i guess... it looks like a go rhino hitch step bar (36") it just to happens mine arrives tomorrow:) got it in black powdercoat... requires a 2" receiver hitch.. imho it would only look right with tones hitch

when i first seen a pic of that the pic was showing the passanger side so i could not see the exaust pipe and thought that it was someones way of a new exaust pipe lmfao. :rolleyes:

Wasn't there just a thread about one of these a few weeks ago where it saved someones VX from some rearend damage? Sounds like a win-win to me.

Wow, thanks guys. I'm buying one right now. I have Tone's 2" Hitch (not installed yet) and Ron's rear skid plate (on its way to me). Will this rhino bar work with these?

yea it works great with tones hitch, i just put mine on today, im headed to a meet now, will take lots of photos and post tonight

I don't have the long bar/hitch that Jofotoz has. I have the other one from Tone, the smaller one. Will that work 2?

Should be pretty close to as good.....from where he impacted, it looks like the smaller one would've stopped most of the damage, or at the very least minimized it. Just be more careful around the rear edges since you won't have the length. It would suck to lose a taillight or mess up more than one piece of cladding at a time, it's hard enough to find just one piece!
