Open to suggestions. I currently have 20's A-tech chrome wheels with 265/55-20 Yoko AVS ST tires on them. Like the look and the on road handling but not a fan of the flashy style and the off road performance of the combo. Best seen here -

Also, I have pro-comp extreme 16's wrapped in 265/75-16 AT tires, that are begginning to look plain to me - no sidewall action - best seen here -

....I have started to dislike both of them now. I really desire a LIGHTWEIGHT rim/wheel in probably 18 inches or so with an aggresive tread tire with some sidewall action.
I am open to suggestions and lack knowledge of a possible lightweight rim in that size. Please advise.
I would prefer a spoked rim in either black,white,bronze/gold or of course the brushed look.
So...I am opening this up to become a large rim thread where anyone can post any rim they personally have/like or want. That does fit by the way....
Lets see where this goes.

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with the lot of you.
You should go with some AR Teflon coated Mohaves, throw some meaty BFG Mud Terrains on there and you will be looking tough as nails.
Man, when I saw Scott H's IronMan in Moab, all I can say is wow, IronMans with black rims and big meat look so d@mn good.
Forget the bling.

Yeah i am not a fan of the chrome. For a number of reasons. I dont want to take the VX the bling route but more of the route it was made to taken. I want to go for more of the r/c car toyish, rally off road look.
I should have just gotten straight black rims. Were the ones your talking about the five spokes I saw in some of the pics?

Yeah, you could go the way of ScottHarness. His Ironman looks b|tchin. He got some Isuzu Trooper rims (aluminium I think) and had them coated with Teflon and they look super good. Scott, you home yet? Wanna fill in the details? I thing this route could be accomplished for under $200 a wheel as well. The only thing about the Trooper rims is that I am not sure how wide you can go.
But I am dying to see some American Racing Teflon Mojaves on both an Ironman and a Proton. I think these would look sweet but if you are looking for 17"-18" wheels you might be limited. I have the 16" AR Chambers and the offset is perfect. I think the Mojaves come in the same specs. The 17" ones might push out a little more, but it all depends on yer steeze and what you want. A little more offset might actually give you that R/C rally look.
If you want spokes though, you might check these out:

American Racing Trax 8. Its funny, I never really liked American Racing wheels until they started putting out the teflon coated stuff.
Good luck, and post pics when done!

I know that they are Trooper rims, but I don't remember what year they came from. I'll PM Scott and alert him to this thread.

does that mean you'll be selling the pro-comps?! (first dibs!)

Iv been thinking about selling them. I have only had them for 5 months. So I would sell the tires with them. 1 brand new tire and 3 with 5 months wear on them.
Check out Tire Rack.
Here's a link of rims in 18" and 20" for a 2000 VX (http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/results.jsp?&autoMake=Isuzu&autoModel=Vehicross&autoYear=2000&autoModClar=&filterSize=All&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Brand)
You can pick a wheel/tire combo, order them online or by phone. They'll mount and balance them and ship them to your door ready to bolt on!
I've ordered from them several times and they always come through!
