So, I go to a really rich high school...nicknamed "Von Maur High" for those of you who understand, congrats...anyways, due to this, there are quite a few BMW SUV's at the school and they kind of remind me of the same grill and stylings of the VX....I was wondering, has anyone ever tried, or would it even be possible to fab a BMW grill (the split style) onto a VX?...Just an idea...

Why would you want to look like a BMW? Then you would not stand out, you would look jealous of the BMW owners and seem like your trying to fit in by modifing your grill to match theirs.

Exactly...
I don't think this has ever crossed the mind of a VX owner, no offense.

Now I wonder how many BMW owners wish they had fangs...

This is true, however, the closeness of the grill opening seemed like it could work...I don't want to look like a bmw...that's why I want a vehicross, and why I currently drive a big mean ford. I just found it interesting...

good point willy. However, I think, with as tiny as our grill inserts are, putting a BMW grill insert would not, in the least make a VX look like a BMW any more than adding Mercedes exhaust makes you sound like a Mercedes. It is, in the grand scheme of things, a very small part of the overall appearance.

I think that the rest of the looks of the VX would quite easily prove that he is NOT trying to be a BMW, just that he had a neat idea. After all, lots of the honey comb grills that rudy sells resemble later model vehicles that had similar inserts, but no one accuses those individuals of trying to pose as something else.

That being said, I would't dream of doing it. i prefer the muted black stock insert with fangs and a nice VX logo.

And by the way, I won't ever be doing it, I'll be putting my money straight into suspension, however, just an idea...

for fast info on suspension. if u want a lift, all u need is $160 for springs from Rocky Roads, thats all. the rest will cost more but wont lift, just make it better. but 2-4 inches of lift =$160 bucks. :).
