I would appreciation those with the "rice/r" comments to refrain.

Is it even possible to get the VX to drift? I suppose if you put it in 4lo on a gravel road you might be able to get it to break loose. I've tried to get it to do some drifting in an empty icy parking lot and the TOD wouldn't let it.

i got the vx to break loose twice... once in a whole lot of mud.. and once coming into a turn too fast and hitting the brakes too hard sent my front end into the turn and my back end out of the turn... a little gas a little brake and a whole lot of swearing brought me out of it safely though

I've never been able to whip the rear around either. The closest I have come was sliding on all 4s down a icey hill here in Reno.

no, no, no, silly! I wasn't clear in my first post, my mistake. I was actually talking about the "car show" part of the event.
There will be NHRA (local cars) | D1 | and Auto Show. No way in hell our VX's will even be able to compete with the D1 cars! What were you guys thinking!! HAHA
As for D1 considered rice, no, I also was talking about the car show, or how some would have put it a rice show... Its horrible how the word ricer is so twisted these days from what it used to be back in 97-98 when I first started doing this stuff back in Japan.

I actually had to hit up Wikipedia to be sure, but apparently, you need to be RWD to drift.
AWD vehicles, such as the Subaru Impreza WRX STi, and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution are converted to rear wheel drive so they can perform drifting.
I seem to recall for the latest Fast and Furryous movie, they took the ol' fire axe to the front axles on a number of their AWD drifting cars.
Please don't hold it against me too much that I actually watched Tokyo Drift. I needed to maintain credibility with the nephews. :)

Hey, I *liked* Tokyo Drift. Great subwoofer workout and it was great eye candy in HD, which is all you can expect from the franchaise anyway. The only thing I couldn't get over was how this white boy travels all the way to Japan and the only chick he hooks up with is a latina from australia?? What is this the 50's or something?

I was going to register my VX (http://www.wantickets.com/EventDetail.aspx?e_id=27910) ($50.85 total) into the car show.. my thinking is, it is so much easier to get stuff you collected into the car instead of having to walk hella far and out the gates just to empty your hands. AND also a good way to show off a vehicle that not that many people know about! Also, I'm hoping I get my Sony α100 by then!
