tips for removing the rear panels

be patient.. they are not fun at all to put back on

do it when its warm out, the warmer the clips, the less likely they are to break

be careful with the top clip under the seat belt, i broke it on mine by pulling too hard when it was stuck

get an interior panel clip remover! itll make things much easier

u have to remove the front door sides first, slide the panel toward the front door (be sure to undo the seatbelts and the little handle in the back). the just pull. its alittle scary at first but once u get a few clips off ull get use to the popping....if theres any clips left on the body and not on the panel use a popper tool.

it doesnt HAVE to be i dont think.. but it will make things infinitely easier if you remove it.. very simple to remove and reinstall.. just 4 bolts, with a helper it will take you 20 minutes tops.. hardest part it getting the 14mm bolts out because they are threadlocked so you will need a breaker bar probably

Be carefull cause those seat bolts snap off real easy too and have fun getting the panel back on once you git it off cause it is a biotch,at least mine was :p

It sounds like those panels are a real beast from the input of those who hve removed them. Not looking forward to removing for sure.

the only reason i removed mine was they were not put on right by the previous owner so i took them off to replace some missing clips and they were a mo-fo to put back on,i recomend not messing with them over a couple speakers your not going to here very well back there anyway, just go with the front door speakers and put some good tweeters in there spot on the door and it will sound sweet,i have 6 1/2 3 way sony expoad's in the doors and kickers tweeters in the tweeter spot and 2 12" subs in a bandpass box in the back and it is life shaking sound.

WHOA! You don't have to do it this way. The easiest way is to remove the hinge pins from the rear seat with a screwdriver and hammer. No breakage, no headache. View this thread: http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showthread.php?t=8968&referrerid=1999
