Went out to the garage this morning, to look at the oil pan before I said something stupid to Bart. I slid under the drivers side and looked up  an oil drop, where none should be. The lower bolt for the bellhousing was just barely damp. The crossmember is dry and there is nothing on the floor, so it is small, and brand new. The seam above the bolt is wet, so the leak is higher up. It's time for a tranny service anyway, so I guess Isuzu is gonna do it. I'm guessing it is the front oil seal...guessing at this point, because you really can't inspect much higher. If so, it is not a wear or maintenence item, the car has just 30,00mi on it, and I am an o/o. Hopefully that is enough, because dropping the transmission and transfer case, is a job I'll gladly hand off. If they're not covering it (I can't imagine) it's all me. So maybe consider using some cleaner and re-torque the bolts in the area. Just maybe it will heal it.

Yeah, my first instinct was to crank on it a bit. I'll put it on a lift tomorrow, see if I can move some of the stuff in the way, and at least figure how far up it is. The underside is pretty shiny, that's why this stuff jumps out at you so early. Hope a little twist will do it. We'll see.
