last night on the way home from the Houston vx meet my fuse for my gauge lights and running lights, (tail lights and round lights in the front bumper) suddenly blew. i stuck a 30 amp fuse in to see what would happen and it didn't blow but got really hot. my rheostat for dimming the lights seems to work and the switch seems to work fine. i think i have short some where because i put a new 15 amp fuse and it blew instantly. i think i have a blown fuse. please help.

take the 30a fuse out of there as soon as you can.. dont want too much amperage going through there for any long period of time.

many people have had a similar problem that was caused by wires behind the drivers side headlight rubbing on a bracket and eventually shorting out... check that first
