And so it begins... here are a few pix of the new pickup project we've started. It's a SWB, '54 Ford. It drove off the trailer! It had a V8, and ancient 3sp. manual hacked it, some time ago. Comes complete with the most primitive steering I've seen, since my "rod and cable" soapbox car. The cab is solid, the bed less so. Tommy, (our fresh outta Wyotech trainee) spent two days with a heat gun and scraper taking the undercoat off, so it can be shipped to the blaster. Meanwhile, we'll be busy (in our sparetime) disassembling the '87 Corvette donor...reinforcing the Ford frame....rebuilding the engine, rock-crusher tranny, rear, and suspension bits...then fitting it all to that frame. If anyone is interested, I'll show pix, now and then, as the build progresses.
