May be going off roading on Saturday 6/14/03. Trying to get together with some friends who will be bringing their Jeep Rubicon and Range Rover out to play. Looking at a trail near Mammoth, Az. I will keep you updated as soon as I know for sure. Let me know if you want to come out and play!:yesy: :yesy: :yesy:

Where is Mammoth, and more importantly, how hot is it in Mammoth?

Mammoth is about mid way between Tucson and Superior on hwy.77. A little higher in altitude and maybe 10-15 degrees cooler than Tucson! It will still be a warm one! I am not sure of the exact trail...once I get more info from my friend I update everyone. Everyone, no matter what you drive (as long as its trail worthy :D), is welcome to join us.

Okay here is the info!
The trail is Copper Creek. We are leaving the North side of Tucson (Home Depot parking lot Oracle and 1st) at 6:00 a.m.
Anyone wanting to meet in Mammoth...I'm thinking we should be there around 6:30-7:00 at the circle K. The trail is about 30 miles long and is rated a 3-3.5 It goes to an old mining town by way of a canyon.
Let me know if you plan on joining us and where you will be meeting us!

Here is a web site with a little info/history on the area. Looks like possibly some running water and some ruins from the mine and town...
