An unfortunate accident starting the engine up without removing the clamps I had on some pulleys resulted in a 1.5" hole in the "front plate' of the oil pump assembly just below the water pump. It is one of the three bolt anchors for the drive fan., and located above the crankshaft. I have the two pieces, and tried to repair it in place. No such luck. My question: can the front plate part of the oil pump body or assembly be removed without taking off the crankcase, oil pan, etc. which entails removing the wheels etc. I would like to get it welded if possible. I also need a new drive fan pulley including the triangular base. Thanks

This question might have a better chance of being answered over @ www.4x4wire.com/isuzu (click on forums) in the Isuzu 4x4&SUV tech. category.

Most here aren't familiar with the 3.2 (I know I'm not) though from what I've read, I think the 3.5 & 3.2 share a fair amount of parts.

Good Luck

Tobert has a few pics in the oil pump removal listed in related topics below. See if that matches the 3.2? Good luck.
