First of all can i see some shots of anyones dual exhaust and under shots if anyone has any. As well as i went to a few shops they said they advise against it cause of the way the under car is set up was anyone had any problems and what size exhaust do u have? I have fount a really high quality custom shops that does anything to any car sky is the limit. Anyway he said he would do a full custom bent dual exhaust from the cats back for 1500.00?? Any suggestions bout that.... I think it seems like a lot but it is gonna be from the cats all the way back custom bending everything... Im not sure but I will prolly be getting a lot of my big mods from him as he seems to be the best on the east coast. Thanks for looking.

Custom 2.5 Stainless Steel pipes all mandrel bent and tig welded into Magnaflow cats into a Single 3” in Dual out MagnaFlow XL Muffler with dual 4" resonated tips. Had true duals but it caused problems and we went back to a single muffler with dual outs...

These pics are with my old 3 inch tips and a diffrent Magnaflow.

What happen how did the true dual exhaust cause problems? i am looking to put a dual exhaust throughout the whole thing to where there is 2 pipes out the back which hasmore power one like ur old one where 2 goes into 1 then out to 2 again of just 2 pipes all the way?

Simple solution. A Flowmaster 50 muffler with (as Cyrk said) dual tips. It will take care of your sound and performance needs.

I had a Morgan-tec muffler and found it had too much resonance.
I now have a Magnaflow dual in-dual out - WITH resonators on the back end to take out the nasty snappy noise on acceleration.

Our car does have a short wheel base and very tight space to run pipes, muffler and resonators - but it can be done:

True, power performance would suggest going with two smaller mufflers on each pipe off the header - but the minimal power gain is not worth the terrible racket 3 cylinders would make out of each tip. The dual in dual out muffler I have has an X-pipe in it to cross over the flow to level out the harmonics - and it was still very loud! I had to add small resonator blanks on each pipe after the muffler to take out the high end snap (or ricey sound as some would say). Right now I am very pleased with the results in sound and I think it will perform better than stock with the future supercharger.

cheers.

I just put in a 2.5" Flowmaster 50 Delta muffler today to complement the S/C. It sounds phenomenal in a parking lot while jabbing the gas - a snorty bark of an exhaust note! It sounds like it should not be messed with. But it's really, really loud at full throttle, and still pretty loud inside just while cruising. I'm really hoping it will tone down a bit as it ages, otherwise I'm going to have to do some experimentation with other mufflers. At least they are relatively cheap

Anyway, I didn't go hog-wild with stainless steel like Cyrk did - I had them do all 2.5" welded piping from where the pipes from the cats merge together back to the muffler, up and over the rear suspension, then into a fancy-pantsy chrome tip. It should open up the exhaust enough for the engine to take a little more advantage of the supercharger.

add a set of Resonated exhaust tips ..instead of just fancy crome tips..it will help with the sound ..:o

i have dual exhaust from the headers back. looks and sounds great from the outside, but on long trips, the extra noise becomes tiring.

hell, i'd love to find someone in the area that was willing to swap their stock exhaust for mine. i'd prefer to hear my music at a more comfortable volume. guess i'm getting old, turned 26 last week.

I had the same noise issue, the resonators toned it down A LOT.

I'd go to resonator tips as a last resort, most don't seem to last in the long run.
I should get around to a sound clip one of these days...

i'm in san antonio, for those considering my offer to swap exhausts .... actually, i am planning to upgrade the stereo. already have the head unit with siruis installed, sound deadened the entire interior and ran the speaker wires, amp power wires, and signal cables.

i've had to put the project on the back burner to do some vacationing, buy some furniture and finish off the home theater system, but i'm looking to go forward with a sound quality oriented system, rather than sound pressure level as a winter project.
