After a couple weeks of trading emails with glenwood, we're getting ready to ship 0697's engine to me to go into 0179.
Too bad 0697 had to die, but at least 0179 will narrowly avoid the scrap heap.
Now to locate and order all the fiddly bits that should be replaced before it goes in (timing set, etc.) ;)
The bad engine is ready to go once I pull bell housing and exhaust bolts. I'm guessing I'll have pull the engine with the torque converter still attached since it won't roll over at this point. That should be a fun mess to clean up.
Anybody have any other pointers for pulling seized engines?
