Next to all the roof rail caps I got off eBay (four sets now), it looks like maybe the dome lights are appreciating in value. I bid on this but decided to let it go. Next thing I know it sold for $57.50 to chivey wivey who also got the instrument cluster I think. Is this person a member of this site and if not why not!!! Does this person even own a VX!! And who are all the other bidders some of whom I've seen as bidders on other VX items.

Isuzu used the same dome light in a lot of different models, Trooper & Rodeo I'm pretty sure of, Amigo, Axiom, maybe...the good ol' salvage yard is a good place to get that sort of thing if you're not too picky on color. Same thing with door bumpers, switches & switch blanks etc.

Again, I lost this auction by one bid... I've been looking for one since I bought the VX. The salvage yards here just cant cut it. The heat dries these things out pretty quick, so they get cracked and faded...

Does anyone know excactly what vehicles have the same dome lights?

I stopped bidding in consideration of other members who might have a real need for the dome light. Same with the instrument cluster. But an "outsider" has gotten them both I guess. Is chivey wivey a member? I don't have everyone's names memorized yet.

OK...from now on I'm going to post if I'm interested in an Ebay item. And if there are others here that are interested...then maybe we can work something out.

My personal site references are Ldub and JHarris1385. Ldub, you'll get your caps by next Wednesday and JHarris1385 can you find and email me the instruction sheet on the rail cap mod? I want to check it before I start. I can't locate it.

I got my extra Dome Light on eBay for around $3 - it came out of an Impuse. I planned to wire it to the back door but never did - future mod if I ever remember to do it!

I don't think he would mind me posting this link, but if for some reason he does in the future, feel free to remove the information. clivey-wivey is from England, and owns an auto dealership specializing in unique vehicles. He was the winning bidder on the rear shocks I listed on eBay awhile back. The last time I looked, he had about 8 different VX's listed on the site.

Thank you that helps for reference. I downloaded those two images. Is that saliva all over the VX? I know they're loved.;)

Well it looks like the dome light and instrument cluster went to a good cause.

The British VXs at the current exchange rate are running between $16000.00 and $20000.00 over there.

I did an 800 mile round trip to look at the burgundy VX he subsequently bought. Loads of miles, no history, loads of iffy details (squint bonnet, untightened oil filter, no rust protection) and was being sold "for a mate" so the guy couldn't answer any questions. Worth the trip to made sure I did want one though.

Mine is older, but sounder and has fewer miles. It also cost just under USD10,000!

Meanwhile, back on topic...
