While driving home lastnight my trany light came on and and stayed on. I was about five minutes from home. Had been driving for over an hour. It stopped upshifting from 2nd to third and fourth. I will check the fliud when the weather warms up on monday. I checked the manual to try an trouble shoot it. Said maybe solenoid A. Has this happened to anyone before?:(

i would limp it to a shop to get the code read... could also try resetting the computer (disconnect battery for 30 minutes) and see if maybe it was just a one time thing and your computer put the transmission into limp mode to save the tranny from further damage

Thanks for the suggestion
do you think it is cheaper to buy a reman or have this one repaired. I also have 96 isuzu rodeo for a possible donor but it has the same mileage as the VXaround 130,000 +/- i believe it is the same 4L30-E trany.
