Alright, it is time for new rubber for the road and all the threads I see out there are for 18" rims. I have the original 16's on my 99 and last time simply replaced them with 4 of the same bridgestones. I like the Nitto Terra's but don't see a size that makes sense. So....what to do, what to do?

I will be watching this post closely, as I too have 16'' rims and need new tires.

While I don't see Terra Grapplers in the stock 16" size, I do find that Tire Rack has Bridgestone "REVO" in that size for $137 ea. (didn't check the shipping)

I know from personal experience that these are top notch tires on & off road, wet, dry & in snow.

Off roading...not off roading that's a good place to begin. Off roading go for traction not off roading go for quiet.

I agree, the stock size tires look puny after you've had 265's or larger on.
But if you can't stand the fact that your speedo & odo are gonna be off, or can't stand the thought of trimming the cladding, what other choice do you have?:rolleyesg...bummer.

Pretty much anything in a 31x10.5x16 (265r/75/16)will work. If you crank the front t-bars just a bit (take out the downward rake of the front end) the trimming will be kept to a very minimum. The BFG TA's, Mud Terrains and most others will be easy to find in that size. Plus if you ever decide to lift they still look good!

31x10.5's BFG TA's with no lift...
