**VX Grill Emblems ready to go**

Hey Gang: This forum has given great advice and I have used it in many ways so this is my little "Thank You" to all of you. Autoracerx has been so gracious and has let me use his design for the VX grill emblem, (I've slightly changed a couple area's) Material used is .036" (20 ga) Stainless Steel. I've had a set on my VX for a couple months now and all is well. I have a couple dozen sets ready to go and the cost is $20.00 to your door, even to our VX family outside the USA. I'll let each individual choose the attaching product of there choice. I used Scotch Exterior Mounting Tape, and It's Weather Resistant it's holding very well and is carried by your local Wal-Mart. My paypal user is.. enjoylife@mchsi.com And be sure to include your Forum User name and also put "VX emblem" in the paypal note area, Makes it easier for me to keep track and a verified shipping address if it's different than the paypal address. **Remember each person supplies there own attaching compounds**

Excellent, I made stencils out of my originals (just in case) but I've had no need to cut more. I used a 3M adhesion promoter when mounting them...and they've stayed put. I will be getting a set of yours (just in case:rolleyes:)

Anodized red would be cool! Or red chrome....my neighbor sent off a set of wheels and had them refinished in black chrome and they look sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttttttttttttt!

Nice work Steve. I ended up epoxying the set I got from AutoX awhile back into my grill to achieve something of a flush mount, so I don't think they'll be going anywhere any time soon. But, it's good to know there is an alternative if one does end up missing at any point.

Thanks: I bought AutoracerX Kit a couple years back and used the epoxy in his kit, It worked great for the whole time but then with our Illinois Hot/Cold the X fell off. So I was in a bind and moved the V over to the middle (I think there's pic's in my gallery) until one day I found the X at the end of my driveway, So that's what started the "Spare set" idea's. Enjoy all ! !

I had used gorila glue on my Dodge van door emblem..2 years ago..Wow it was on and was not comming off..Then last week while driving ..I heard a "clunk-tink" sound ..I thought i hit some thing in the road..I got home and found it was the RAM emblem..It just fell off...grrrr..Oh well .It was verry cold the day before..;)

Careful with the gorilla glue. The bead grows 2-3 times original size as it sets.

Finally took a 'mental health' day to put the letters on. Have the grill front
soaking to get the black gunk off. Got the ISUZU letters off easily with a
flexible knife. Am I a dummy! I didn't know the fangs snapped off! I'm going to polish them and coat them with clearcoat. Probably finish tomorrow, so if I can figure out how I'll show pics. Thanks Steve...... They look great!

3M double sided tape...3M adhesion promoter....Two very clean (use alcohol or spray can window cleaner) surfaces...they will not come off.

i used superglue and havent had any problems so far, on the other hand i bought a hood scoop and it came with 3M double sided tape and i have had it for like 4 months and its starting to come off, also i live in wisconsin so cold might be the reason

BTW..If anyone orders a set during 4-21 thru 4-24 There will be a slight delay, due to my Girlfriend and I are making our first trip to Vegas. Were staying at the Luxor for 3 nights ( W/O the VX ). If any of my fellow Vegas VX'ers have good info on steaks houses and things to do close to the strip (we'll be walking allot) let me know, or PM me and I'll give ya a contact # maybe we can grab some grub together one night...

Thanks Solitude. We did ride the "Trans" a few times but we walked ALLOT. We stayed at the Luxor and walked down to Treasure Island the 1st full day there, then again at night (taking our time and going in each casino on the way) then the next day we did the same to see the Treasure Island outside so but it was canceled due to high winds. They even canceled one of the water shows at Bellagio due to the winds, but we stuck around and they had the show 30 min later, then every 30 min later on time..--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
