I put links to a couple of users gallerys in the "grille claws" thread that I thought may possibly go unnoticed...so, for those lusting after projectors...& a real "fabmaster" type project...:naughty:
Whaleboys conversion...http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=114

Have fun & post pics.
Yeah, I like that mod, but I will never get to it. I wanted to mimic Whaleboy's version for a while but I want a lot of things.

That is one nice conversion Mr. Whaleboy. I gave my son a 3600 dollar pair of Mercedes S-500, Bi-zenons from a collision....he melted them into his old Mr.2 very nicely. I've a closet full of HID collision takeouts.....Audi to Navigator if anyone is feeling creative;)

Hey Wayne,
I may take you up on some - I've currently got some extra headlights (was thinking of doing something similar at some time) - might be an excuse for a Florida visit.

Chappa, i'll take that offer. I like trying new things and fabbibg a new style of head lamps, sounds like a cool project to start. but i need to find an extra pair of headlamps, cuz i love my yellow ones, but would be awsome to have a diffrent kind of lamps as a diffrent option. So waht do u have and for how much?

Cool I bought a cracked VX headlight unit off a member to try fab something like this and use may be a used unit out of a Cadillac STS or something. I didn't know other members have been working on it. I have a spare unit if you want to give it a try Chopper....

Chopper,
If you have a set of BMW headlights with the "angel eye" ring I would love to try and get those fabbed into a set of VX headlight assemblies. If you've got them I'll find some junk assemblies and go at it.

MarkI've seen really convincing "Angel Eyes" made from a clear, Lucite rod (adjuster from vertical blinds) a LED bulb, and a little heat to bend the rod:cool!: Hardest part is opening the headlight, and that's not hard at all...stick 'em in the oven, and wear gloves. They can be made in colors as well...it's a pretty popular mod around here. Adjusters tend to make us swap components on a BMW headlight, so I've none of them around

I think there is a few Nissan, one or two Ford, and some odd ones...it only matters that the ballasts are the same value.I think the color would be the same. Let me see what I have. If it is something you can use, it'll cost you shipping. The TT's cost 14 bucks each to Rhode Island. You may just want to check into a Tone style HID conversion. Those kits have come way down in price over the last year or two...look around a bit.

by hid do you mean projector? And by nissan do you mean Z? Because I've been thinking bout getting ahold of a set of Z headlights with that weird mounted 'jection unit to see if they'd look aight in the VX.
Thanks for any info bro.. :)
