2WD transfer case?

I was browsing youtube and saw a interview or what-have-you when the VX first showed face in japan and low and behold the transfer case had three settings. I want one. Can anyone supply me with more info on this...?

JDM spec VX have transfer case with 2WD option and shift-on-the-fly system. Probably, it could be borrowed from salvaged Trooper with TOD system. But you will need all that vacuum tubing...
The other option is to install manual hubs designed for Trooper and Rodeo/Amigo.
