I didn't notice till today that there's some oil grease leak on the wheel, I'm not sure if the bearing seal is leaking. The leakage is showing on one of the front wheel and one of the rear wheel. I did the front wheel bearing repacking 3 years ago at 30k. Didn't do nothing on the rear wheel bearing though.

Can someone please give me some idea what it might be? Is the bearing seal broken and I need to repack the bearing? I remember for some reason the rear bearing needn't to be repacked, not sure why. BTW, on my 60k service, they drained and refilled the differential fluid. Could it be the cause for the leak on the rear wheel axle? But the symptom looks almost the same both front and rear wheel.

As far as the rear goes : http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showthread.php?t=8346&highlight=rear+axle+seal

As far as the front goes : http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showthread.php?t=9031&highlight=cv+boot

That would be my guess. How many miles are you at?

thx for the ref link. I'm at $61k. The other thing is at the last service, they also rotated my tire, put my 2 rear to the front. I went to a shop yesterday and the guy told me my rear axle is dry, not leaking, maybe the only leak is on the front, i should take the wheel off and see what's going on.

That's the first thing I'd do. It may just be that you ran through some water, some of it got into the wheel centercaps, then ran out as the wheels turned. Are the wheels with the "leaks" on the same side of the vehicle?
