Hard to say since all shops charge different for labor/hour.

Since you do all your work like you said, you probably don't have a reliable soure shop/tech that knows your VX, so that makes it even more difficult. I do a lot of the work on my own, but I use a shop for the tedious work I just don't want to do, heh. Maybe someone on here that is near you can lend you a source.

Are you using a tieod/balljoint seperator like this:

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=38649

You have to use these to get it off, and you have to beat the bejeezus out of it wth a 5 lb. hammer.

man i hate to say it, but i had to take it to a shop that i trust around this area, , but it cost me about 250-300 bucks for labor. i wish i did it my self, but i really tried, i had pretty much any tool you can think of, cuz i used the Coast guard stuff back in my station, but they didn't have those forks. oh well, at least i'm getting them replace, should be done tomorrow they said. thanks alot though. :)

No special tool. Just a big f'n hammer and wail on that spindle. Then 3 bolts to take it off the upper arm.

Kenny,
In your last image where did you get the red urethane puck from?
I'm replacing my stuff soon and want to do a go over on the stuff.
To be noted I am not flipping the ball joint, as I drive 99.5% of the time on the street.
Thanks
