Hello everyone I have a question and I hope it helps me in my decision on towing with my VX, I'm sure there are peeps wondering the same thing. Now I'm sure everyone has read there owners manuals :p and everone has seen the section on towing where it says "it is not recommended to tow with the VX" So with that said I'm looking for some input on who all uses there VX to tow and whats the weight that you guys are towing (Pictures of what your towing would help a great deal) for I have a buggy I would love to tow it to the Dunes with my VX but I'm not sure as to what problem I may run into all info would help a great deal. :o

just do a search for towing, its well documented here but the general consensus is the max weight is 5,000 lbs max tounge weight with tones hitch is 500 lbs, 350 with a dylan/curt (uhaul) hitch because of the way its attached
also make sure that you are very careful because the short wheel base of the vx makes it more prone to jack-knifing

As above but if you can find towing data for the 1993 or 1995 Trooper RS you can go by that as it shares a similar chassis and handling characteristics with the VX.

A Quad or frame rail buggy should be no problem

I tow either a SeaDoo Sportster or a twinpack of SeaDoo PWCs. There are pix in my gallery. The only thing I've noticed is that the power switch helps for pulling hills (changes shift points - doesn't increase engine power).
You need to be careful the first few times you reverse with trailer (tight turning radius + poor visibility = you can get yourself into a bind very easily). Rekin that's not an issue for you tho since you'll be towing '4 down'.

I just tow my amphibian... approx. 1000lbs, plus trailer. I have Tone's hitch... works great!
