I was thinking more along the lines of inbreeding between a Yukon, Hummer & a Commander:)

Did you all not look this up to see the Studebaker XUV?
They were in a lawsuit for a while with GM. For some reason GM thought it looked like an H2 - go figure.
Personally if I had to get an H2 I would get this one instead.
Other shots of the big one:

Once again I would get this one any day before I would get maybe a suburban.

This makes no sense. Studebaker as been a defunct car company since the 60s when they went out of business.
There is a company that tried to make an udpated Avanti in a couple years ago
http://www.cochassislassies.com/cars/marilynavanti.jpg
But it was a kit car based on a Corvette body- and it was a re-styling of pre-existing body style.
It looks like they are taking some GM body (probalby a Hummer, thus the lawsuit), and just replacing body parts.
But this looks NOTHING like any old Studebakers, so kinda wierd.
I used to own a Studie, in case you were wondering.

The company was revived in 1995. From what I have read they were a profitable company but did not produce many cars. Since then the owner was arrested on fraud charges and now Cooper owns the rights to the company.

from Wikipedia:
Avanti Motors, based in Cancun, Mexico, continues production of 150 hand-built units per year of an updated version of the Avanti. In 2004, the company switched from GM engines and chassis to Ford. In addition to the Avanti Coupe, the company also offers an Avanti Convertible.
A September 5, 2007, SEC complaint accuses Michael Eugene Kelly of running a $428 million dollar fraud scheme. Avanti Motor Corp is named as a relief defendant, alleging that auto maker illegally received more than $7.3 million from Resort Holdings International. Kelly has been in custody since Dec 22, 2006 and all Avanti facilities are closed.

Like going to see a thirty year old band....There's a good chance, that all the original elements have been replaced. Studebaker, that started building carriages (we had a Studebaker Rockaway) and switched to automobiles a hundred years ago....is long, long gone. If you could aquire the name, you could build a 2009 Hupmobile...or a Brockway. I've known Studebakers....and THAT, sir, is no Studebaker!;)
