Yes,
You heard me correctly... My driver side piece of garbage window actually came off the track from busted tabs, getting stuck in the rubber moldings and a shot regulator and my passenger side piece of garbage windows regulator is so shot that I think if I blew on the glass it would go up faster. My warranty is up, and the extended warranty (you know the one I paid 1,500 hundred for when I got the truck) doesn't cover it, so dealer sent me to an aftermarket glass shop because they didn't even have the glue to fix the adhesive, so the glass shop they sent me to is saying I need 2 new regulators and because the tabs broke I'll need new glass, and new rubber moldings, so they are charging me 1,000 for the job. I even called another place and they told me it would be about the same price. The guy whose fixing them says they are really made crappy to begin with, but since Isuzu mechanics can't seem to come up with a solution to the window bind maybe an outside source could. I am so tired of hearing so many members same complaints about the flaws with the Vehicross IE: windows, CD player, rubber seals around headlights, thump in rear, wet spot on driver/passenger floor, peeling wipers, etc, etc, and Isuzu doing nothing to correct these problems. I understand other autos have their problems and people have to fight with their dealers but Isuzu acts like your like the first customer to ever complain about these things or they've never heard of anyone else having these problems. I'm like dude don't even try it because I have tons of friends with this truck and I know plenty of them have called you already with the same problems. I can't believe I have to pay a 1,000 bucks to fix something on a truck that is basically new along with a 15 hundred dollar extended warranty. I really wish that the many of us who do have these problems on the board could do something about it, but we're just peons in they're multi million dollar monoply... They deserve their streak of poor sales, it should tell them something about how their reputation is...Thanks 4 listening...

As I put in my post I did call them and they act so surprised to hear "oh, Window problem" "well, your the first to call with something of that nature" I'm like give me a break you have plenty of people calling you about the window problem with the VX. I'm just going to have to shell out this 1,000 bucks, I guess there goes most of what I saved up for, for the supercharger. Its so amazing I drive a basically new truck which I'm in love with and now I need to pay 1,000 bucks for something that not only should be covered but recalled for the problem. The truck is so rare and so many members of the board have had the same problem with it, imagine the people who drive this and don't know about the board, they are probably really lost. Its great meeting up with a stranger with a VX and telling them aboout the board. Staten island is now up to 13 VX's in an area of 12x18 miles... Well Tone you can thank Isuzu for one less supercharger sale due to their flaw... I really wish the truck was made by another company, because as I said in a previous post many dealers are obnoxious but Isuzu is just the worrrrrrrst as far as trying to accomodate their customers...

The tracks need lubrication from time to time. If not caught early, this issue will become the mechanical problems you are now experiencing. Yes, Isuzu mechanics are pretty lame with the rare exception here and there, but for the most part your best ammunition is to read the posts which supply a remedy and not just an empty complaint. Sure this is something ISUZU should fix, and know how to fix, but it appears that customer satisfaction is not high on their list of objectives.

Take off your door panels and drench the rails with silicone lube. By all means stop forcing the windows up and down to avoid further damage.

I doubt seriously if I will ever buy another vehicle from Isuzu, the service side so poor that it has poisoned my hopes for their future.

Sorry to hear your problems with the windows, I think the best cure is to do it yourself as once you know what to do you can spend your time sorting it properly. Although the idea of doing this seems a bit daunting it is actually quite simple. I bought a VX here in the U.K. with a long list of common problems and with the help of this forum have carried out every item required apart from the rear view camera display which went to a local specialist. There is an article by Phines in club v mag which I used to repair my drivers door, once fixed I noticed the passenger door window stopped 3/4 way up and the window switched clicked as if to say if you press me again I will blow. So I drove home and removed the door panel (simple) then undid the three small bolts which look as if they hold the electric motor in ( they dont but you still have to remove them) you can now remove the three scews that hold the motor in (these require a big philips driver) once motor is removed place the assembly back in place (less motor) with one fixing this prevents marking the tint on the glass. You can now slide the window up and down by hand and find the area of the runner which is pinching once located push the window up pul back the rubber track and with a pair of pliars open the runner each side you do not have to be subtle with this action but take care not to slip. Now with the rubber back in place insert your finger (not as bad as it sounds) into the track and run it up and down to ensure that no more tight spots are present. Then zap the rubber with silicone lube and re-assemble. This whole operation was carried out again on my drivers side window the other day just to make sure it was o.k. and it took me 30 minutes so once you do it you become very quick at this repair.

Good info... thanks for posting it. I might take my door panels off and check for these problems.

I had my door panels off yesterday to install new speakers and was noticing that the window track flexes quite a bit when you raise and lower the window with the motor... that can't be good. Someone has DEFEINITELY been into the drivers door before... the idiots hacked the crap out of my plastic vapor barrier! ;eekr; I didn't even think at the time to lub my tracks... but sounds like it needs to be done... and yeah, it should only take five minutes or so to remove the door panel... in case you don't know how to, here ya go...

1) remove small plastic plug from tweeter panel using a small flathead screwdriver. remove small phillips head screw. remove tweeter panel, unplug tweeter from harness. set aside.

2) remove phillips head screw from door handle (the one that OPENS the door), carefully disconnect the handle from the connecting rod. set aside.

3) carefully pry (I only used my hands) the upper half of door handle (grab handle for closing) with switches up, disconnect plugs.

4) remove two large (#3) phillips head screws at fore and aft of pull handle.

5) carefully pry (I used my hands, not even a tool) door panel from door starting at lower rear corner, working forward and then up. Lift door panel from door. set aside.

From there, use Davids directions to adjust and lube tracks. Then reinstall everything in reverse order of the removal. I might be doig this today... nothing better to do.

It may be stating the obvious but whilst you have the door panel off it would be a good idea to cover the outer door panel with dynamat or similar product. I used a special torch on material I had left over from a job its 8mm thick and has stuck well to the metal this has significantly improved the sound of the upgraded speakers I fitted but also makes the door feel really solid you know that expensive car clunk you get when closing the door. As with your findings the plastic vapour barrier on mine was totally wrecked and I used this oppurtunity to fix a 3mm thick waterproof carpet type material to act as a sound insulator/barrier.

I think it was "phines" on the board who also came up with a great idea along with you all. I try to lube my windows but they eventually got stuck up in the rubber moldings and all. I wish one person on this board could be the designated mechanic in the states and we could pay him to fly over to each of us. It'd be worth the money since Isuzu knows "nada" bout this truck.. I am just so aggravated about having to spend 1,000 to fix this since I was planning on getting the gift of all gifts which was as I

said was the supercharger. I agree with navigator that I would never give Isuzu the business again because they do not deserve it and cannot justifty any of these problems but do a great job by hiding behind them...
