How do I go about cleaning and keeping my hood insert from fading and looking crappy? Do I put a coat of car wax on it, same as Id use on the metal body or do I use the same products that I use to mantain my cladding, rubber vinyl cleansers and protectents.
The cladding advice u guys gave was so helpfull and Im on the case, just put a coat of vinyl uv protectant on it and it looks great. Thanks again!

Well, when I had the stock insert, I used some Turtle Wax Color Cure Car Polish Black. Got it from Amazon dot com. 7 odd dollars a bottle. It is a colored wax to hide scratches and stuff. It worked pretty good. Then just keep it waxed up to protect it from UV. Wear gloves.

Hi Hugoart76...yer VX aint black....
IT'S EBONY !!
Yea I know...STFU jo!
For yer hood inserrt....use any old tire shine....leave it a couple of hours...
...then buff to a matt finish.
It works well.

I used audi concourse dressing on mine... A product similar to standard armorall, but not as greeeezy, and not as "wet look" It just makes panels look ultra clean with a bit of luster.
Worked great on my hood insert. First time using it. I also used it on my cladding.

I just did a search and can't find the backpack anymore...
I've had it for a while, got it as a gift, when I had my audi.
From the research I've found, it's rebadged Eagle One brand products. So I'd guess it's whatever their Armor All like product is.
