What about Grapevine or Southlake? Those two are close to Keller. I'm game for anything.

So, are we looking at Sauturday or Sunday for brunch?

Peace.

O.K. Let's meet in Dallas, Saturday, July 19th for brunch. We need to answer a few questions first..............what time?...........what kind of food.......and which restraunt?

Lisa......you tell us what time you want to have brunch.

Ryan......you tell us what kind of food you and your dad want.

Scott.....you pick the restraunt.

Rob and myself will be o.k. with whatever answers you choose. How does that sound?

Peace.

O.K. We have 1 of 3 questioned answered.

1. Lisa just told us what time she wanted brunch. She said 2:00 p.m.

2. Now, we need Ryan to tell us what kind of food he wants,

3. so Scott can name the restraunt.

Peace.

Talked to my dad yesterday, and he is definitely down, and we think some Mexican food would be great, you can never go wrong with some chips and dip.

Also, my dad is in the process of finding a new hobby/project car. In the past he has restored/worked on:
-American muscle car that I was too young to remember what it was
-1966 Mustang Fastback
-1967 Mustang Convertible
-1984 Porsche 944
-1989 Mark VIII
-1996 Mustang
-1991 240SX

Currently he is looking at maybe a Porsche 928 or a Fiat. But if any of you know of any possible project cars in the area, I would like to take my dad to check them out while we are there. Maybe $2-4k or so. He has just retired and is looking for something to keep him occupied, so any thoughts on some project cars, would be much appreciated.

Last time we did the Blue Goose,I think everyone enjoyed it. Also Sol's Taco Lounge is in the same area. Good food either place. Sol's is less expensive:grino:

I don't know if you are planning on doing your window fix at the meet. Here's a thought. After we eat, if you want, I live about 15 minutes from the Blue Goose if you need a place to do any mods. Ya'll are more than welcome to use the concrete pond in the back yard to cool off too.
Peace.

Alrighty I am in Waco and I brought the brackets for the window fix that Girlybot inquired about. I have never taken the doors apart, but I can print out the instructions or if some of you have done it you all can help, I am assuming this would be done after the meeting at Tom's place if we in fact decide on doing it, I am fine either way. I am not dead set on doing this on my VX on this trip, I was just mentioning it to see if it would help out Girlybot or we could just fix her problem and I can get some more after watching "us" fix hers.

Things that are listed on the metal tab fix that I did not bring that we will need to do this:
-sharpie
-razor scraper
-some type of glue (industrial hot glue has been used before)

I had my new digital camera with me,but I'm ignorant on how to upload pics. I know it can't be that hard, just haven't taken the time to learn. It's starting to bother me though,so I'll pay Geek Squad or somebody to teach me.

Plug one end of USB into computer, plug the other end into camera (USB cable came with the camera) and a screen will pop up and tell you what to do, it really is that easy.

Oh and Lisa, I didn't know how many pics you took I just remember seeing you holding a camera, sorry, lol. Oh and yeah once you get that smart car you can have the best of both worlds, a cool one to drive (VX) and a good on gas one.

Lori, and yeah it was AWESOME to meet y'all. I was so embarrassed when everyone saw my car. It was like the little matchstick girl next to uh, Miss Texas, or whatever. I'll wash and wax it next time, promise!!!!

I was really surprised at how nice and friendly everybody was. My boyfriend asked, was there a single redneck there? I said no. We are sophisticated car geeks. I felt extremely welcome and was really happy to be there.

Jesus it was hot, though. When I pulled up and they were all lined up in a row, I almost teared up.

VX is a beautiful thing.:bgwb:
