Hi i found this little switch under the throttle pedal - when i push the pedal right down and make it click the TOD lights up the second row - does anyone know if it locks the torque convertor as well ? Or in fact what its supposed to do ?
cheers

Not sure exactly, but could be a kick-down switch for the tranny or wide-open-throttle switch for the ECU.

WOT is sensed by the throttle position sensor.
Maybe it cuts out the AC clutch for better acceleration?

Mine says May 00 on the nameplate, and it has one. It is a standard grey microswitch on the far side of the fulcrum -- on a little bracket way at the top of the lever.
That's the kickdown switch for the transmission. If it is stuck down, your computer will throw a P1835 error.
I suppose if you want to test it, put your transmission in WINTER mode, then press the switch. That should cause WINTER mode to cancel, if I'm reading this right.

Yup thats the kiddy - when you make it click the TOD goes up to two bars on the fronts but the transmission doesn't kick down - i suppose thats because its already on full revs lol
cheers
