I was told by a mechanic at Isuzu that the "Ironman" edition came with the Trooper engine, giving it 235 hp.. is this true????

No. All VX's have the same engine...215 hp.

...which is the same 3.5L engine in the Trooper. :)

Maybe the Ironman decals give it a boost. hehehe

Your mech might have been thinking of the 2002 or 03 direct injection 3.5...:_confused

..but it sure would have been sweet to get the direct-injection engine, better mileage AND more horses, unbeatable combo!
