Lisa and I are leaving Sat morning for Chicago to pick up her 'new' VX so the Sat/Sun meet / mods look to be cancelled. BUT, I can still take care of any other requests from Wed thru 10pm Fri.

Ryan, get with me when you hit town and we'll get that sub installed - I'll email you about the amp when I get home Sunday....

Sorry for the last minute change as the turnout was looking to be great but we certainly didn't plan this loss or the trip to fetch another one.

Glad to hear everyone is coming up! I understand some of you are contemplating service on your VX either prior to or after the event and wanted to offer assistance. Actually, the VX meets started out as a way to not only make new friends but to see and make some modifications to your VX. I've seen George strip logos from a VX on Westheimer, we've mounted trailer hitches, performed lifts, installed brake light flashers, etc.

Why not make your trip even more productive and let me help you with whatever maintenance or repair needs you have? Fluid drain and refills are pretty straightforward and I have all the tools necessary to make it quick and painless. Bring the fluid or part of your choice and I can help you make it happen but if I'm the one getting dirty, then I gotta charge ya at least half of what the shop was gonna charge ya.

I'm running a shop out of my house anyway and all are welcome to use the tools and ask me to supervise ya. Let me know a time either Fri evening or Sat around the other events that have yet to be determined except for the 'happy hour' sunset run and offroad adventure out to Crazy's....

If I do not have my license plate light fixed before then we should do that one together Tone since you were the 1st to point it out to me, lol.

Other than that my power steering pump has started a small leak, I put some Lucas Oil Power steering stop leak/treatment in there today and I will clean up the area later tonight and will see if that helps. I can't really tell where the leak is coming from, either the hoses or the pump itself I am not sure.

Tone I have a sub and sub enclosure for the back door, if I buy an amp and amp installation kit can we do that sometime too (I am not wanting something crazy maybe just 250rms mono or something like that)? I can come early or stay late so it does not interfere with hanging with everyone and I don't want to take up anyone else's time if they need help with something.

Got an "Error" message on my Pioneer CD changer. The whole thing is locked up.

Well, it looks like George's 'Meet" is gonna be at Tone's Casa.... Julian and Rhonda are in childbirthing classes all day but might be able to meet up with us Sat evening. My address is 4233 Columbine Dr 78727 - email me for my cell if you need it.

There is enough parking for sure but seating is limited. If you have some fold ups you can easily fit in the VX, please bring them. We can start as early as ya'll want on Sat morning or even some on Fri nite. Ryan, let's start yours on Fri nite if possible.

I'll have snacks, sodas and margaritas - please bring whatever else ya'll like. There are a number of inexpensive lunch places we can run out

Tentative plan for the afternoon was to follow Lisa out to her fantastic house overlooking the lake for a little bit of conservative offroading (it's the only way up to her home) with sunset cocktails on her wonderful deck (for those who make it up).

Dinner TBD

I wish you were closer to Florida. I would love to meet you and pick your brain about VX maintenance.

I battled the same code until I replaced this, it might be worth a try, it has fixed other people's problems as well, I installed a vacuum control solenoid (part #8-01997-201-0) that fixed my P0440 and P0405 fault codes, it is the black box looking thing in the very middle of the photo, it is on top of the engine:

Tone,
I need to get get all my fluids changed (front and rear differentials, transmission fluid, and tranfer case). Did I forget one? Also, I need a little help wiring up my fog lights? This may be a dumb question, but what kind of wire do I need to buy?
Peace and Thanks.

Which kind of fogs did you get? What kind of switch are you using?

They're Pilot Lights. I just found the wiring in my garage, so I guess I have it. I've already installed the lights, but I haven't hooked up the wiring.
Peace.
