I have had mine replaced 4 times now and have never had anything more than just the windshield replaced.

Ditto...one replacement $320.00 total, less than 24 hours.

just make sure to take it to a reputable place.. i have rust around my windshield that leaked before i re-sealed it from a bad windshield install (quoted 800-1300 to fix).. the replacement windshield they put in has also pitted pretty badly

So it looks like just a windshield part only and a reputable installer. Are we talking using an aftermarket windshield or a factory one? It sounds like either or is OK with no issues.

Either windshield is OK without an issue. Make sure that the shop you use doesn't use metal tools that could scrape the paint off and cause rust as described above. There are two types of after market windshields, one with a blue strip at the top and one without, so choose the one you want and have the shop order it.

I have a VX here in the UK that is in need of a new windshield. Isuzu have quoted me £900/$1400 just to supply the glass from Japan - that's without fitting. I know there must be other vehicles that fit the VX screen - OR someone other than Isuzu is making glass that fits.. I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO KNOW, either way. It's crazy to spend that money on a windshield..! My truck is stuck on the drive unusable till I get the new glass...

I would search out the major suppliers in the USA; Novus or Safelite, and fill out a request on line to see if they would ship to you in the UK.
