2009 VX Calendar Cover

Hey guys.. just had a thought this morning.. I made up a cover for last years calendar..

but I know there are some more talented graphic designers out there than me.. so anyone who wants to make one, submit it to vxcalendar@gmail.com and we will do voting on the cover... since the calender needs to be ready by like mid november.. im going to make halloween the cutoff for cover submissions

the cover should say vehicross on it somehow (a vehicross pillar badge or something similar is fine) and should also say 2009... vehicross.info would be a nice touch but not necessary... be creative.. lets see them! i will post up all of the calendar submissions onto webshots or something similar so you can use them in your covers sometime this weekend.. any other photos you use.. just make sure you have permission to use them

EDIT... the submissions should be of the proportions 8.5 x 11

Thanks Jo, I like yours too, but I REALLY hope that pic gets a regular full month, I think it should be May!! That is a classic Moab 08 shot and deserves at least 30 days!

Yeah, that pic of my VX just worked in the center like that. Now that I think of it, I should have put a Dragon or Foxfire on the cover to represent more colors.

Yeah, Moab is a photographer's heaven, and Moab loaded with VXes is only that much better...its really hard to take a bad photo out there.

i got myself a new Nikon with a wide angle lens. i'm getting better at taking pictures. i need some more practice though. i'm taking the VX out tomorrow for some pictures with the falls leaves. i'll post them up for you guys tomorrow. Moab sounds so fun! action packed, fun people, and great rides!

I've worked on several cover designs. I'd post them, but my main computer blew a fuse in the psu... so I wont be able to do anything till i get a replacement psu.

You know, I was gonna say something about that....it looks like a lot of folks submitted photos that are going to need serious cropping to fit properly on a calander page. Who ever submitted those awesome panoramic photos of the VX driving through the muddy water....well, those photos are great, but they are way too long to fit without major cropping.

I would change the middle. It looks like that is a Rodeo and a Trooper in that shot with the VX.

Lol! Strippes would look good on a Ironman, but you’d need to loss or change the Ironman logo on the hood. I don't think it would look good with both.

agreed, but which is more prestigious a cover model or an inside page model?? I don't know...

In any case, that image could be substituted for any other image, or combination of images.
