Hi all
I recently had my drivers window motor stop working, I went to call my Isuzu dealer and he told me they had none in stock and that they were going out of buss. so no ordering, I then looked on the internet for more local dealers in Ct called the next one and he said he could order it, $185+. I didn't really want to spend that much, To make a long story short. I did some research and found a 1991 rodeo right front motor works on the left door of the Vehicross and visa versa I bought a reman motor for $45

Thanks Joe! That’s good to know. The next time I see a 91 Rodeo in a bone yard I’m going to grab a set.

Did you check the switch and the connector before buying another motor?

Thanks Phantom, I was half-kidding, half-serious. I figured the forum could only have one of each name, didn't even notice how it was spelled.

I will verify that this works, except for one thing, they have to be the same side door. I bought a reman window motor for a 91 rodeo from napa, but they Rodeo's passengers side door motor was opposite of ours, so I reordered the drivers side and it fits. I did need to extend the wiring on the motor, but it fits and was a heck of a lot cheaper. My window works again.
I keep meaning to locate new brushes for the motors - that is the only part of those motors that give out when they burn up. Brushes should be grabbed for less than $10. I just need to find an valid option and tailor them to these motors.

Working with dealers often, I can tell you it is not the dealers. They have their markup and keep their markup steady. What has happened is the price of the parts are extrememly expensive from Isuzu. So Isuzu is charging the dealers a lot for parts, and that is carried over to us.
