seat problems

hey, my passenger seat got broken last winter from drunken college kids being stupid...
so, i would like to get it fixed this winter so i can get people in and out of the back during snowboarding season (everyone always wants to take my car because i have roof racks and it kicks arse in the snow)....

so.. here is my problem, i took my seat apart and found that the mechanism that makes the seat go forward and back is broken...therefore the seat wont lock into place and kinda flops around during driving and also it doesnt sit straight anymore because one side is locked and the other is moving....

here is a pic of what happened...any ideas?? its the little plastic piece that holds the movement mechanism to the gears of the seat...
if not i guess ill have to ship some parts to recaro and see if they can fix em...or wait till some seats come up for sale...

Yup, that's route I would try to go down, at least initially.

I can check my parts binder, but I would be willing to bet the seat is a part by itself and internal parts are most likely not available alone from Merlin, but I could be wrong.

So lemmi guess, a whole bunch of drunk kids tried to all pack into the front seat and put to much pressure on the back?

yea bart, both that and drunk kids trying to squeeze out the the 2 inch gap they give you to get in and out...i think one of their feet got caught on it and snapped it off...

but ya, ive had like 3 girls in the front seat at a time...probably not a good idea but i was DD that night....
