I was going through some old archive posts and ran across one that suggested that the Pearl ghost may have been inadvertently re-painted?

Has anyone heard that VX urban legend?

I just read through rolligmoss's recent string of post last Aug., and it indeed seems to still be Pearlescent, and quite low mileage:

So #1455 - the one and only Pearl White - is also the very last VX ever made... Man I hope whoever has it is taking good care of it!

I did chew on this for a while and noticed that the first lien reported was in 2/2002 when the vehicle only had 116 miles on it and the title number was 07P532103. It's probably safe to assume the purchaser borrowed money to buy the vehicle and the lien holder was the lender.

It appears the owner paid off the loan at some point and the title was reissued in his name because when the next lien is reported on 3/16/2007 at 52,974 miles the title has a new number - 07P730792. I say reissued in his name rather than sold to someone else in or near Longmont, CO because rollingmoss posted here in 8/2007 stating he was the original owner.

Then there's another lien reported on 12/10/2007 - with the same title number - so it didn't change hands - just being used as collateral again. Hmmm... Two liens against it in less than a year...

Rollingmoss, you elusive lucky bird, you - if you're reading this, I hope everything's alright! But if it's hard times... Hey man, you know how you can raise some quick cash! No need to eBay that Pearl White ghost - you just PM me OK? I'm sure we can work something out. ;)

Mark, it looks like #1455's tag is up for renewal this month so would it be possible for you to run another Carfax report (or whatever that was) in a couple months just to see what pops up? Hopefully it will show up safe and sound in Longmont, CO.
