I found exactly what i was looking for for a great price.

Its a 1997 Isuzu Vehicross 3.2 V6 ! Its a fresh import and has no rust what so ever, paint is imaculate. As its an import i need to get as much info about the car as i can, for instance the sat nav won't work here but i want to keep the built in head unit as it has a reversing camera so i need to find new software etc etc

I pick it up in 2 weeks :D got to wait for registration!

Buying a right hand 1997 will prove even more difficult for working on and getting parts IMHO since they only exported 99-01 in any numbers to provide and supply of parts

The VX looks great! Congratulations, and (as so many on the site say); welcome to the obsession.

Welcome! Nice JDM. You do know you need to make a pilgrimage to Moab ones a year to make the VX gods happy, right?

Mine is also a Jap import... look out for Isuzu Bighorn, Mu, Trooper parts ex Japan as many will fit your VX. For some reason a bunch of VXs have ended up in NZ ... I know of four for sale and two being wrecked right now!! All RHDs, most 1997s or 1998s

Congrats! You'll be fine, just tackle any and all problems as soon as you can. Speed is definitely your friend when it comes to getting parts.

What is that thing on the front of the VX where the license plate should be? Never seen anything like that before?

She looks pretty!

**Hey Aussie vx bit of a thread hijack for a sec, where abouts are those vxs getting parted nz or aussie ?**

And yes welcome to the Rhd club :P. Glad you ending up buying that one it looks mint.

One job for you i know youl prob wanna do anyway make that cladding dark again :D.

Also is you go offroad without, the nice jdm mudflaps dont bend like you would think, there just thick rubber, sadly i broke off one of mine on a trail (front left one) and the rear left one came off but i pick it up , and now have taken all of them off and replacing with thin ones that can actualy bend without getting ripped off.

Good luck with the car.
