As some of you may know i just bought a '97 import. It came to the UK last year so theres no rust on it and i'd like to keep it that way even though i plan to frequently use it off road.
Is the chassis Zink coated like the body?
Have you guys put underseal / protective paint under your VX's ?

Good question? The best thing you can do is keep the undercarriage clean.

Correction: The VERY best thing you can do is move somewhere that it doesn't rain or snow!:bgwg:
Oh, and take your VX with...;)

Well, I was going to mention 'Electronic Rust Prevention', till I read this.

I intend to paint my chassis with Waxoyl after I clean off the mud next time, or the time after perhaps. This worked OK on my Cherokee that spent its winters in the French alps- the underneath was great but the brakes let it down by catching fire several times- perhaps I shouldn't have fitted the bigger tyres! And the electrics.....................? I do prefer my vcross.
