So what it's a Pug. Check their european site. They've got a lot of nice cars. Just because the made crap in the 80s doesn't mean they're still bad. Same goes for Renault. Can't just a book by its cover. Can't judge a car by its name.
Some of the best or better rally cars out there have been Pugs.

I had a 70's Pug and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Also had some Renault 12's and 14's that further enhanced my dislike for these marques. Had to have a little fun! :laughg:

Roll cage is great, as long as you can keep your limbs inside of it. You go unconsious after roll that buggy on a dune and you just might loos a limb or two
BTW, who cares if it's a PUG, ISUZU has liberated us from conforming to the ways of the NAME TAG wearing masses. VIVE DEBADGE !!! ROTFL... :D

Ha ha you guys are funny, or just a little ignorant, but I think it`s time for some of you to take the trip to Europe and see what they are driving, and what they consider to be a good car.
I think you`ll be surprised to see how much they moved forwards, yes even the "old " european countries.
Let me describe the images that are held by us Eurotrash of some car brands.
PeugeotFcomfortable, reliable, and the 206cc is one the sexiest mini convertible around.
http://users.pandora.be/maplo/206cc/
Renault: daring, comfortable, reliable, sophistication, the Renault Clio V6 is the fastest hot hatch around.
http://www.cliov6.at/
Or the sexy avantime
http://www.infomotori.com/a_41_IT_375_2.html
Skoda A cheap but reliable alternative for a VW(it`s owned by VW that`s why..)
http://www.skoda-auto.com/
Alfa: design, passion, fairly reliable.( it`s Italian), check out what you guys or missing out on...http://www.e-alfaromeo.com/vip/Overview/ALFA%20ROMEO/GTA/New.asp
GM:Very well sold, very reliable, a bit unimaginative, of course I`m describing Opel here any US made GM`S are kindly laughed upon.
Daimler/chrysler: Who doesn`t wanna own a daimler? A Chrysler....well somebody I guess.
Reality check, don`t ditch what you don`t know.

Ignorant?!?! There's a reason I still have a Ford Sierra shell in the shop! Plus I still shed a tear thinking of the three FIAT 124's I recently parted with.:cryg:
I certainly take notice of what any country has since they ALL seem to get way cooler and more advanced rides than we're allowed to have here in the states.

Joe, not one of those awsome sierra cosworth`s....lovely,
http://www.turbocharger.co.uk/rs-cosworth-sierra.html
No to those (Joe, Paul and many others), who are true carlovers and know the difference between a 72` fiat cinquecento and a 99` 220ps fiat coupe, I wouldn`t dare to call to ignorant, but just the small group of people who are prejudiced because of some experiences they had 20 years ago....
But even those people, I`ll call them ignorant with a smile:p , cause it really doesn`t matter anyway, if you can`t buy them...

Ignorance doesn't have to do with availability... just with knowledge. Plus, it's not used to be degrading, as that is not the words intention at all... it's just that people these days use it to make fun of people more often than using it in it's true meaning.
Anyway, on my first trip to Europe (London), and my last trip over there (Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany, and Austria), my wife thought I was the freak for taking so many pics of the cars parked on the streets. I loved seeing all of the sweet Pugeots, Alfa Romeos, MGs, Audis... you name it, they're new and all have models we'll never have. It's nice to see new MGs running around town!

V8 powered MG's no less. *drool*
BTW, Alfa will be returning to the states possibily 2005. Maserati is back already (which is now under the watchful eye and guidance of Ferrari). Fiat, like Alfa is said to be returning but like Alfa... no concrete dates have been set. For those who don't know, Fiat and Alfa were among the first manufacturers to bring F1 styled paddle shifting to the masses without the exotic price.

Well, growing up in Nigeria, the Peugot 504 was the most durable car my family owned. Actually it broke down a lot but the parts were cheap.... :laugho:
And the Peugot 505 was simply a chick magnet! :D

When I was in high-school one of the kids had a 505. It was the only Peugeot that I have ever driven (or, for that matter, have ever seen in person). It was cream-white with super-dark tinted windows, the kid who owned it was psycho and the drive to school was about 50 miles each way in the boonies, so we did some crazy shit in that car. First time I ever heard the term, "sport-sedan" too.

dutchie,
They're alright I guess, but I wouldn't have any one of them personally. I do like Ferraris and Lamborghinis :-) (Lamborghini has a local facility).

Bah... try a Veyron or Pagani Zonda S. ;) Ferraris and Lambos are just too supercar cliché.

Spazz, the most amazing thing about the original Hummer is all the places it CAN'T go! You want a REAL 4x4? Get a UNIMOG 416 DoKa. That'll take ya where they can't get ya!
