Oh my, now here's a thread I know a bit about! Gorgeous Rottie pb!
Now what would you expect from me except some fru-fru dogs......and a few cute kats too! We love our fur family. :bgwp:
Here's our 2 Pomeranians; Silver Maine Coon "Kirby", Sable Maine Coon "Lexi". Then our gray tabbies and a Blue Russian. We also have a Mini Australian Shepherd "Nikki" and a mixed breed "Bandi".
Teddy, Tikki, Kirby, Toby, crazy Taz, Big Lexi and little Nikki the mini Aussie, Bandi and Kody & Max...the first kats ever joined at the sides! J/K...they're just snuggle boys! ...........and everybody in the pack gets along! We now live in a rural area, lots of room for the gang!
............Oh, did I mention we don't have children? :laugho:
p.s......we're still normal and I'm not the crazy cat lady down the street...just love animals! :bgwp:

thanks guys! i love bentley, hes really a great dog...i didnt know what to expect when i got him, my parents both said that they are great dogs...
i got him because i live in a very bad part of town in greeley (in the top 5 for gangs per capita in the US) and my girlfriend was coming home at night in the dark by herself, i just felt much better with him there to scare people away...
my family has always had german shephards our whole life...and now i moved onto a german blockhead rottie... all in all im VERY impressed with the breed, extremely smart, very easy to train, wants to please all the time, eats about 6 cups of food a day though...
cryonman, bart, VXkat..thanks!!! he's the best!!
VXkat- love your mini austrailian shephard, i have never seen one of those before!!! are the like aussie's in personality?? really cool idea if so!
clint- love the heeler!! those are really smart dogs...i've always heard really great things about them.
billy- love the combo of dogs! my sister has pitt/boxer mix and he is super affectionate. really fun dog to play with too. (and obviously im fond of rotties)

Yeah, the mini Aussie is real similar to her full size counterparts in smarts and temperment, but actually a little less active (still very active....) just toned down a bit. She's the smartest dog we have and learns the fastest too. Most willing to "work" cuz she's a workin' dog...hubby can't even step outside or garage without the velcro dog looking at him for something to do. Fetching a small tennis ball is her obsession and she'll chase and retrieve I think till her pads would bleed! Not one bit destructive, even when bored, or it's been raining and she doesn't get to go run around.....so instead, she just likes to chase and box with the Russian Blue cat Taz (he's half wild on father's side, but very domesticated) and the 2 go at it quite often all in play! It's the coolest thing I've seen and I've had animals all my life. They genuinely play. There her Aussie heritage comes out cuz she's always trying to herd the cat around and nip at his heels to get him to move.
There's nothin' quite like an animals love & devotion!

Here's Wrath our 8 month old Norwegian Elkhound. He is obnoxious, independent, and goofy, but we love him. He's full of energy and mischief, but he's a strong willed little trooper when it come's to the outdoors. CRNCNN's dog Gracie and Wrath are best friends and never seem to stop playing whenever they are together. The first picture is when he was a 10 week old puppy(which he still is mentally:rolleyes:)
http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/data/500/dog_049.jpghttp://www.vehicross.info/gallery/data/500/WrathVX.jpg
Here's our other dog Penny who is a little 13 week old Shiba Inu. She has a great temperament, much better than Wrath. She is calm and quiet and well behaved. When she gets let loose on Wrath though, she is very spirited indeed. She goes after him most of the time and really only likes to play with dogs much bigger than her. She doesn't seem to mind when Gracie and Wrath try to tag team her either. She's small but fierce when she wants to be.
http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/data/500/dog_008.jpghttp://www.vehicross.info/gallery/data/500/PennyVX2.jpg
And last but not least is Ash, our little black cat who is 5 years old. She is pretty much the meek, gentle soul of the group. She plays with the dogs a little, but they are usually a little too energetic for her liking. She is very caring and lovable, and comically concerned.

Yup, Tuna is a Cornish Rex and Meana is (was) an Oriental Shorthair.
Cornish Rexes are super cool cats and really soft and fuzzy. :)

This is Zorra. She's a 1 &1/2 yr. old German Short Hair Pointer mix.. (we think) she's a pound puppy and they tried to convince us she was a Blue Heeler.. We think NOT.. she's a complete hyperactive spastic puppy.. can't sit still or let anyone else for that matter.
(sorry she's sideways.. I couldn't figure out how to get the whole pic to show in the gallery without turning it sideways.)

Wow Costie,, they look like they could be brother/sister except Charlie's ears are shorter and stick up more.. it sounds like they have the same A.D.H.D. too. She's constantly into stuff. Does Charlie talk to you? Zorra talks like crazy,, not barking but like she's trying to talk... can't really type the sounds.. lol
Marly is adorable..looks like a sweet not so little lap dog!

rotties should be about 120-175 i believe....emotionally they mature around 1.5 years and physically they mature around 2-2.5 years....
thats what my vet told me...thats for a male on weight however, it may be smaller for females.
shes definately a cute one though...i wouldnt worry about her being small, the fact that she has the black/brown combo will intimidate anyone it needs to..

"rotties should be about 120-175 i believe"
Remember that there can be some quite drastic variations even in pure breeds. I had a Dobie that never got over 40 lbs. Maybe she was the runt or sumpn - don't know. Other than her size, she was perfectly proportioned. I bred her with a red & all of her pups came out black so she must have been a 'blue' (pure bred black at least 3 generations).
