I have a nice used factory option cargo mat
Im considering making them in a similar charcoal
color. I wont be able to put the Izusu logo on it
but other then that it should be an exact duplicate
of the originals.
We can embroider VX or something like that on it in
a variety of colors if we want.
Post here if you are interested if we start making them.
Price should be around $80 aprox.

that could be cool.. id be much more likely to buy front mats though if you could make them..maybe w/ a VehiCROSS logo

I currently make custom front and rear mats for the
Subaru Svx customers.
I can do the same for the VX.
they already have my pattern or I can send them in
a set of factory mats to reproduce for fit.
Anyone need some, lmk.

you should try to make the same ones ron did with the VX with the silver plate thing on them, i would totally get a set of those
something like this:

maybe its just me, but those are a little ugly
as well busy. Not sure why youd want the logo right
under your foot so they could get torn up faster.
Usually I put the Vx lettering off the the sides in a
variety of colors etc.
But I guess its everyones personal preference.
I would take a set of front mats, and the rear cargo mat in charcoal.
Question is, would you export them to me in Aussie Land??

Would love to see front all-weather mats with the VehiCROSS logo too. I have a set that supposedly were "custom fit," but I would much rather have something that looked and fit OEM.

Charcoal front mats with a tasteful "VX" somewhere would be great. Any idea of a ballpark price for front mats?

I would be up for a set of front mats too. I spilled some oil on my passenger side mat and the Isuzu logo is all blacked out now (which is actually kind of cool and subtle) but it would be nice to have some new ones. Let us know approximate prices.
Thanks for continuing to come up with little things for the VX.

Hi guys
I have two proposals
1 What about also adding to the Vehicross logo the exterior color in smaller letters;I think it would look so original some front mats with this set up:
V e h i C R O S S
Astral silver.
2 My other suggestion is rear mats that perfectly fit behind the front seats. I don't know if the VX had any factory rear seat mats

and carpet.

YES - With seat out.
I keep fitting carpet rems.

That's a great idea. I generally run without a back seat. A matching mat for the whole flat rear deck, with holes for the tie-downs, seat belts, and seat latch would be cool.
Also, thanks for the effort on this, AZ!

5 Orders right off the bat for a complete rear cargo area(without seats) mat.
You know you want to, all the cool kids are doing it. Come on.:)
Just thought I would see if a little peer pressure would help things.

heres a few pics, of a factory mat (little dirty, sorry)
with 3 color samples available for colors.
You can almost match the stock carpet or try to match
them to the darker dash components.
The VX logos will be available in huge variety of thread
embroidered colors.
We will have 2 pcs for the front
1 pcs for between the front seats and back seats
and then
a very rear cargo mat available.

The #1038 charcoal looks great. I assume the backsides will have velcro "hooks" to prevent slippage?

Btw, and I hope this isn't too much of a thread jack, but are everyone's front and rear mats different colors (my fronts are roughly charcoal, while the cargo is steel grey)? I replaced my cloth mats with all-season mats the week I bought my VX, and the original mats have been in the shed ever since. I pulled them out this week when I was doing some reorganizing and thought "Why would Isuzu provide non-matching carpets?"
Maybe the previous owner replaced the front mats with darker ones?

I would be highly interested in a rubber cargo area mat with a lip. Just the back cargo area (back seats installed), rubber, water proof, 1/2 to 1 inch or so lip around the entire edge. My other hobby is aquariums, and I tend to transport a good amount of wet stuff. An unlipped mat just allws the liquid to roll off.

Have you looked at a Hexomat cargo mat? They don't have a lip but they do have deep wells for the water to collect BEFORE it spills over the side. Supposedly it can hold all the liquid in a 2-liter bottle before it overflows. I bought one for my VX about a year ago and, unlike a lot of the VX accessories you buy from generic parts sites, it fixes like a glove.

Oh yeah? Well maybe you can "sea" your way clear to taking it at face value. Its not like I'm "fishing" for compliments.

before this thread tanks (haha) let me say I ordered a full
set of mats today with the VX logo on the two fronts.
It will give everyone an idea of what to expect with the
2 fronts
1 pcs middle and
1 pcs cargo mat.
Ill have to take my seat out of my VX this weekend and
make a pattern for the rear cargo w/o seat option next.

AZ,
Those mats look really good. When you get the rear mat (with no back seat) done, I'll be up for it and the two fronts. If possible, I'd like the "VX" to be silver and blue, instead of silver and red. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing!

Wow, nicely done!
I will be up for a complete set if the VX lettering was silver and Blue or Silver and Black. Thanks.

I made an interesting if not accidental discovery; flip you factory cargo mat over and BAM! all weather cargo mat. for some this may fall in the Duh! category.

True, but because the mat is flat with no edges, it won't do you much good if anything liquid spills back there. But it is good for stopping dirt.
