Thanks, Gene!
Coming from you, that's high praise indeed!
Speaking of high, did you lift when you upgraded your tires? Seems to be a bigger gap from top of your Nittos to the wheel well.
Truth be told, my pic is from last July, the only time I have totally detailed the Dragon in the past 13 months. I used a product Bart recommended called Trim Shine that comes in a spray can. I went over the cladding twice, worked it in with a buffing applicator and then wiped it down with a clean towel each time. Alot of work, but the final result was worth it. I was looking at using McGuire's(sp?), but needed to stay away from anything that was greasy, since I live in a dusty enviroment.
Funny thing is the detailing was done the night before the Reno VX crew showed up for the Mammoth 4th of July campout/4x adventure. The Dragon was covered in trail dust by noon the next day....

Inquiring minds want to know: Are Dragons green with envy since they all want to be Proton?
snowtrooper1966
03/31/2009, 08:53 AM
No, they are sick that the factory paint shop forgot to mix in the blue and wound up producing that horrific Proton color and put in on their brothers....

Now if I could only go back a few years and care for my Dragon like the previous owners SHOULD have, we'd really be twins.....
Oh yea, and find some carbon fiber mirror covers...
Paint my skid Dragon Green...
Nah, too much work. Next time we meet, I'm likely to just use a Jedi mindtrick and give you my keys instead! ;)

Don't give up, it'll be worth the wait! What would you rather have, the instant gratification of buying another color that pops up nearby, or the satisfaction of having worked hard to get EXACTLY what you want?
I think H3_VX posted that a friend saw a Dragon for sale in PA. Who knows, maybe he could take a look for you? I know that's a long way, but just like Foxfires, Dragons are really rare - as in less than 230 in the whole country.

I just might have to come by Cars and Coffee soon! Looks like a blast! Great pix, too! I got a laugh out of the subaru... I actually was wondering about putting tracks like that (not sure what they are called) on a SmartCar to get the ultimate in economy and snow traction. How on earth did I miss this? It's practically in my own back yard.

Thanks, It goes in the body place this coming Tuesday. I had them order a new hood insert too. Mine is really ok it's just cracked in the corner. I wanted to make sure they painted the whole hood. I'm having the top painted also there a burn that looks from falling fireworks. With the problems other seem to have had with rust around the top rails just seems like a good idea. OMG I love this rig.
BTW; The reference about "looks fixed" is finishing the job. I hate it when somebody fixes something with a "it's good enough".

Got a dragon I am looking at Monday morning. It has hail damage but if its fixable and the price is right it will be in my driveway Monday night.
Trying to keep my heart out of the deal and my head in.

Just fixed both windows with the heavy brackets (from this forum), tune up, replaced ABS comp., and now...
TOD problems.
Shifts in and out of 4wd every 5 secs, terrible whine, clunking, etc. Undriveable and the best trans shop in town hung up on me when I said "Isuzu TOD".
Yay

I had this shop (http://atclafayette.com/) Rebuild my trans, my TOD was fine so they left that bit alone. Price was somewhere around 2800 dollars for the rebuild. Good Luck!

check your trans fluid, grease your 3 nipples on your u joints, and make sure you have 4 matching tires with matching tread and exactly the same psi in each - sounds simple but all can make a huge difference - you might also ask some of the more knowledgable members on here about resetting the computer correctly after replacing the abs parts if you havent already - hope this helps good luck

Its like a different world. A dude walks up to me as I was getting in at wallgreens. "hey what is that?" A lady rolls down her window last night on main "I love your car what is it?" And some kids yelled at me as I went by today at the park "cool car mister!"
Its all scrubbed up and waxed. I have to quit before I rub the paint off. Having a little trouble shining the wheels. Mothers does not seem to be doing the trick. If you get close they have water spots and are a little dull.
New speakers Monday.
