To all,
I have the OEM roof racks with the Thule fairing. For the first time ever I removed the fairing to actually haul something on the roof. After the haul I drove the VX before putting the fairing back and there was a VERY loud whistling sound that started at about 30 MPH and only got worse at any higher speed. I've heard about this phenomenon here on the forum but never experienced it myself. It didn't happen while hauling and it seems to come from the front rack. The long rubber strip is missing on the top of the cross member.
Anyone know how this noise is actually created?
