Hood Insert cleaning

What should I use to clean/shine the hood insert?
Anything special?

Well, don't go doing it just yet (get some other input), but I actually have put Son of a Gun spray w/UV protectant on it (same as I use on the cladding) with an applicator pad and it looks real nice if you do it right. I acknowledge the stuff probably was never meant for paint. :-) For now though it makes it look sharp and I got a compliment on it at the Ocala meet. I plan on getting it LineX-ed before too long so I'll stick with it for now. You just have to keep it dry for a little while afterward so it can set and get wet without streaking.

Believe it or not I've just been using Armor-All after washing. Seems to work fine.

Are you referring to the Armor All@Multi-Purpose Autocleaner or to the Armor All@Original Protectant?
