Removing Tailgate Assembly

I need to remove my tailgate assembly, but the 2000 VX Manual (CD) says there should be a single wiring harness to detach; I can't find it! My VX is a 99 - does it not have the harness? It looks as though I have to pull out all the wiring as one piece. Has anyone here removed the tailgate on a 99 VX?

I would think that the rear harness would be basically the same. There is a separate Electrical Troubleshooting manual for 2000 with changes from the 1999 version, but I thought that the changes were minor. Sounds like some stuff may have been made differently for the new model year back there.

it would be the harness for the rear plate.it will be on the hinged side .look right above the jack.there is a white plug with 3 wires.that goes into a rubber boot between the door and the body. shawn

psychos2 - Yes, i found it (eventually). I guess they moved it in 2000. Thanks for the info!

johnnyapollo - Is the electrical troubleshooting manual on CD? If so, can you tell me where a copy is available?
