Help installing sway bar bushings

Is this a 2 man job??? For the life of me I can not get the metal brackets that came with the Energy suspension sway bar bushings to fit. It seems as if they are about 1/2" too long and keep getting hung up when I try to install them. I have instructions from a previous thread printed out and it appears to be an easy job.

I have no problem un installing/re installing the stock ones. I feel like I need a third hand to pull my front skid plate down, Pull on the sway bar, and install the bracket all at the same time!

BTW I have the 9.5163G 28mm Bushings.

didn't bother reading the thread the dub posted, but just know when I installed mine, they were a PITA, had to undue the front plate, and what have you
