THANK YOU to Alan and Nick for coming to Hogmore Arena, i had a geat time. We had 3 VX's and it was the FIRST UK VX Owners Meet (that i can see)
My boss came along in her Nissan navara and we had to spend some time getting the recovery points ready and then going on some easy routes as it was a double cab with slick tyres lol, but then we had a good run around in the two VX's.
May i be the first to point out that Alan got stuck :D and i tried to tow him but couldnt get the grip so a Dakar did it (pics to follow)
The VX's held there own as usual against the other 4x4's and we did some trick bits.
I managed to pop my front tyre of its rim :D I nailed it down into a muddy bit and had to turn imediately left at the bottom as didnt want to get stuck and BANG !!! the tyre went....oops. Think Alan has a video?? Also thanks alan for lending me a full size spare as i just had a space saver, lol
Nicks VX is CLEAN!!!!!! and cant wait to have 3 of us in convoy next time :D
In all the fun i had with a seized pulley this morning i forgot my SD card so will upload pictures as soon as i can. Can you guys upload yours in the mean time????
Nicks Pics,

Good pics - I'll upload more of mine (and the vids) to youtube later when I have something better than a 3G modem...
The getting stuck was pure driver error - I may have turned the air in the car blue when I did it... Textbook kinetic recovery though. :)
I'd also like to point out that I was sitting on a tool box having my lunch with the door open. Nothing else!
Will post mine later,
Alan

Great to meet you guys! I now can't wait to get my muds and get muddy! It was also goo to see them holding their own against trucks that had thousands spent on them!
Here's to the next UK VX Owners Meet!

Looks like you had a great time, but I don't think I am to envious of the two who had to clean up those VXs.
Peace.

Crotchrocket goes too hard an unbeads a tyre - it all started gently enough and I've even left in the obligatory "tit starting the camera" shot!

HA!! SWEET. Those video's are awesome!! Can't believe it all got caught on camera, lol. Might have to take it easy on that part next time, camera doesn't show what a change in ground levels there was as it went from a down hill with a right camber to an up hill with a left camber covered in mud, got my pics today so just uploading them now.
tada...

Oh yes - I need another visit to the jetwash really...
The camera I used was a GoPro Motorsports Hero Wide (http://www.goprocamera.com/) which I bought for both this sort of thing and track days with my Toyota Yaris. I'm really pleased with it, but some of the mode setting can be a little counter-intuitive meaning that I often end up with pictures of my nose-hair or feet or 3 pictures from the start of a run then nothing when you're thinking "this'll be great on camera" (hence the lack of videos of some of the tricky/technical bits).
Cheers for all the kind comments folks,
Alan

I must say its quite a good littel piece of kit and i had a look at buying one after Hogmore but its reletively expensive i thought! Quite unfair that its $199 in the US and £180 over hear, thats $292 !!! :(
