Hey now, opera ain't bad. I can't understand a dad-gum word they're saying, but the emotion in their voices can bring tears to my eyes.
I would have to say that my all time favorite driving song would be "She Sells Sanctuary" by The Cult. What I listen to on a daily basis will change drastically, but I always gravitate back to that song.

LOL, that's a funny "pun"!!! Yes, Tower of Power is my most favorite band of all time and I first started listening to them in 1973. I first saw them live in concert in 1978 after they debuted their "We Came To Play" album. I now religously see them every year each time they come to Seattle (at Jazz Alley) and I always reserve a seat front row & center. The band members all recognize my familiar face and now point at me with a personal smile-n-nod each concert I attend. Priceless.

OK, now THAT'S funny, but c'mon; I'm not talking about the screaming banshee's who are in ranges that only dogs can hear, and I'm not that big on German opera's, but if you give Pavarotti or Andrea Bocelli a listen it's just amazing the amount of emotion that they put into their songs.
I'm not here to convert anyone, I'm just sayin'.....

I have always been amazed at people who can actually sit in an opera. The high pitched screams are everything but pleasant. And rap....OMG the songs would be less than 30 seconds if they took out profanity and offensive words.

10-4 Good Buddy!!! My Tavern's jukebox has only 70's/80's Classic Rock and Modern Country. Whenever I see undesirables enter my bar, I quickly crank-up the twangyist Country Music I have. I figured I'd slowly mention country music. Some people look at it like a disease. And I didn't even mention my love for Mearle, Waylon, Willie, etc. But believe me if I had to chose it would be good ole 70's ROCK N ROLL. Boston, Doobies, Aerosmith, BTO, ELO, Queen, Alan Parsons, Styx, and on and on.

I have to re-route some of the power steering piping to get out of the way of the pulley's/belt, replace a pulley or 2, driveshafts, brakes, do all the wiring, fabwork under the hood to make room for the radiator, etc, etc..... and then once I get it all together I hope I don't have engine problems, as he didn't know the condition of the engine.

You all aren't going to belive this, but way back, I had a car phonograph. It fit under the dash and played records. You had to buy special records for it cause it didn't play a regular 33 1/3. The stylus (the arm with the needle that sets on the record) had a big rubber band to put over it so it didn't bounce when you drove over a bump. Now back to the thread subject. I really enjoy listening to "Born to be Wild", There's A New Kid in Town"by the Eagles, and I Dreamed A Dream (Susan Boyle, Brittain's Got Talent).

Rush Farewell to Kings
Iron Maiden Powerslave
Incubus Make Yorself
311 Transistor
Faith No More Angel Dust
Judas Priest Stained Class
The first 5 disks kind of live in there. The last spot alternates. Had Priest in there since I just saw them live last month.

Dam, I'm gettin too old. Anyone here, besides me, never heard of the groups in post 79,81,82,85, and 86 ? Gonna find me some new 8 Tracks and get up on stuff. Might even use 2 speakers to listen to it while I'm driving. Besides t4b, what's a headbanger ?

You all aren't going to belive this, but way back, I had a car phonograph. It fit under the dash and played records. You had to buy special records for it cause it didn't play a regular 33 1/3. The stylus (the arm with the needle that sets on the record) had a big rubber band to put over it so it didn't bounce when you drove over a bump. Now back to the thread subject. I really enjoy listening to "Born to be Wild", There's A New Kid in Town"by the Eagles, and I Dreamed A Dream (Susan Boyle, Brittain's Got Talent).
:freek:
and most of my friends think im crazy for owning a couple of CD's... archiac....

Wow, this is too good....
I heading home in stop and go rushhour traffic yesterday and got the head nod from a dude in a charcoal GTS next to me (which I had been checking out from my rear view mirror for the last mile or so). Dead stop traffic. He started bobbing his head and hollering "Pol Pot, Pol Pot, Pol Pot".... and then I realized he could hear Holiday in Cambodia blasting from my 1/2 open windows, heh. I had to throw the thumbs up right back.... hell of a rarity.
