So I start just about every day by grabbing breakfast on the way to work, flipping through my email, checking my bank account, checking the VX site, and searching through eBay US, eBay UK, and Yahoo JP for random VX stuff. I post a lot of those links here in separate threads, but it occurred to me that it might be good to have a single thread to post links to as I come across new stuff that might interest folks on the board. In that spirit here we go...

Btw, I'm only posting items that are unusual or rarely seen at auction. In other words, I won't post the silver Cararama models, brake pads, HID sets, etc. that are constantly for sale.

Don't want to make this a spam thread.

Auction title says "1995 Isuzu Rodeo Dash Bezel Switches #343" but down lower it says the switches have been removed. I wonder which is right?

Btw, think you'll bid on the VXC shift plates? I think you said you tried to pick up an earlier set on eBay.

It's three instead of four, but the thread you posted said they fit a "variety" of factory racks; does that mean they're a universal fit? Btw, this three-count has been for sale for A WHILE...

Yep, vt. I have bought three sets of horizontals off eBay in the last year, each set of four costing only $15. I used four to install the Thule fairing, the others I'm waiting to see regarding a roof rack (looking for a Yakima 696).

Yakima Wing Mighty Mount Horizontal: One horizontal wing mighty mount is part number 8830027. A set of 4 is 8003601.

Yakima Wing Mighty Mount Vertical: One vertical wing mighty mount is part number 8830028. A set of 4 is 8003600.

I'm not joshing, here. I have bought multiple sets, and have used four to mount my fairing. The price tag on the end of the boxes show "Beartooth," and a different part number for 1 ea. Vertical and Horizontal, 24094 and 24097, respectively. I tend to believe:

Yakima Wing Mighty Mount Horizontal: One horizontal wing mighty mount is part number 8830027. A set of 4 is 8003601.

Yakima Wing Mighty Mount Vertical: One vertical wing mighty mount is part number 8830028. A set of 4 is 8003600.

Bottom line, though, watch U.S. and international eBays for "Yakima 3601."

Four hours to go on a set of 16" rims. Two have damage, one is missing a center cap, and I have a few reservations about a description that says "Beautiful Isuzi Take-offs" but for $78 + $60 shipping, it may be worth it for someone looking for spares.

If you're interested there's only four hours left!!!!

Although I've cut it twice & it was still too short a couple times...:mbrasd:

They're gonna look real purdy nestled into your fine piece of work...

As you can probably already tell, I couldn't keep my finger away from the "buy it now" button...Drool

How difficult is it to run the wiring so that it doesn't show? Does it run under the carpeting, or behind the body panels, or what?

Thats not too encouraging. I'm still buying the trunk popper, I keep locking my keys in the trunk area

tworavens, I ran the wiring for the door popper (and my CB) behind the interior trim panels. There is a good bit of room behind them so I just snaked the wire back there then hid the wire under the door sill (where the factory wires run) to the front of the VX. In some cases the interior trim in the back doesn't really touch the floor so you can just tuck the wires under the trim without having to remove anything.

This one is a parts only core...from their ad:

Note: The radio is being sold for its parts...its not intended as a working radio although it may be. Some functions may not work and some may. These are returned radios or radios that we couldnt properly test and are being sold only for the parts off of it, so there are no warranties or returns allowed on these radios. We are not in anyway saying this radio will work because it probably wont or has at least one function that wont.

Please read all of the above and understand these are sold only for the parts and not to be intended as working radios!!

Not sure if you guys have seen this yet or not... starting bid is $.01. Will be very interesting to see how much this goes for. Anybody nearby that would consider picking this up? Looks like one of the headlights is probably good (would need scratches cleaned up though) and the roof rack is still there, plus it's possible that some of the rear and opposite side panels/cladding might be intact.

I wonder how high the reserve is? I would consider going to PA on a weekend with my trailer....It is 730 miles from me, so about 300 in gas plus 150 in misc hotel and whatnot. But with the reserve being anything more than 500, I can't see that being worth my time. Cladding pieces may bring about 700 bucks total, roof rack-200, headlight-75, side view mirror-75, misc trim/seats/ and so on inside-700. Lot of miles, so under hood stuff probably not worth a whole lot, grill looks ok, rear end is probably ok, so I would guess somewhere around $2K in parts, pending the condition of the drive train...My wife is giving me that look right now...uh oh, gotta go....:freek:

If anyone gets it and if there is no line up for it, I would like to get my turn in the line for parts. I know handeeman and I would be interested in the roof rack, also I would need the rear door cladding, if the climate control unit is easy to put into 99 model and it's priced well - I would get that one to replace mine - I just like the 2000/2001 look better, also I would like to get the plastic cover that goes around the instrument cluster and then continues to go around the head unit and the air vents (I'm not sure how that frame is called) and the driver's door handle that has those controls (I just need the handle, my controls are fine but the handle has one tab broken off). So whoever gets it - let me know, I'll buy some parts.

If you have the ability to take it apart and store the salvaged parts ...
...it could be a bargain.

I'd value it at about $800 -$1000 where it sits...

..and maybe $1200-$1500 after pick up and tow home.

Undamaged Glass / rear door / roof rack / undamaged cladding / undamaged panels..

..are EASILY worth that alone.

(BTW..I already asked seller if R/Rack was 4 sale ..NOPE!...all or nothing!)

I agree with that concept, but shipping is so expensive, that it makes it very difficult to turn a buck. it cost me almost 200 just to ship the front cladding I sold a month ago. If you don't have a business account, shipping gets crazy expensive, they are still charging a fuel surcharge, even though gas is cheap....

I can't say enough great things about Greyhound shipping. I shipped a hood insert from Ohio to California for $50. I dropped it off on Saturday afternoon in Cincinnati and it was available for pickup on Monday morning in San Diego.

The only catch is, you have to drop off and pick up from a greyhound station. Its really easy though, its a whole separate area than the bus terminal.

I have also used them to ship a bumper from Ohio to Florida for less than $100.

Hmmm, I just checked it out, there are restrictions, the bumper would have just fit...and can't be over 100lbs, that eliminates tranny, maybe rear axle? Rear door is too big, but most other stuff would be fine...Sweet!!!

I might give you a run if I can get my friend up in Fredericksburg (not Tom) to let me borrow his trailer for the weekend. Still trying to decide how much I want to spend though...

But I really don't think we should be competing with each other to buy it. After all, anybody on this board who buys it is just picking it up to part it out to other members, so outbidding each other seems counterproductive. Maybe I'll start another thread to continue this thought...

lookn 4 parts have grey 99 v cross need hood grill radiator bumper, bumper guard please help 202 904 4323

I'll keep an eye out but keep in mind that I'm not running a recycled parts finding business in this thread. It's meant as a heads up for other members/guests, so if you need a more pro-active effort, I'd suggest you work your local junkyards and do what I do: search eBay (Stores section may have what you need), www.searchtempest.com (Craigslist batch search tool), www.bing.com/shopping, shopping.google.com, shopping.yahoo.co.jp, and occasionally amazon.com. I don't search them all everyday, so like I said, if you need something in a hurry you'll probably want to search yourself.

Best of luck, and like I said, I'll keep an eye out for you.

I have also used them to ship a bumper from Ohio to Florida for less than $100.

www.shipgreyhound.com

I've posted about this before, but I second that JAMAS!!! Greyhound's shipping prices are unbeatable! I shipped my backseat to Osteomata Phoenix to Miami, weighed 65 lbs, cost $73. I bought a "large wardrobe box" from U-Haul for $12, plus some nylon reinforced tape and she was good to go! Os said it arrived in fine condition, took maybe 4-5 days. Both UPS & FedEx Ground were around $235+. Savings was well worth the hassle of drop off/pick up at a Greyhound terminal.

That salvage yard may not know as much as we thought. They are starting the bidding on a spoiler and rail caps at $300. Now I know we have seen $300 for rail caps but in desription he says 3 have been removed so the tabs are broken off and will need glued or cured. But remember these parts new would be $1000. They sell every part for a VX including thousands of parts that dont come on a VX. Why ebay allows such dishonest sellers is beyond me. I have reported them directly but apparently one is not enough. Instead of buying anything from them I would suggest reporting them as well. They have some type of auto posting software that will post every part they have for every vehicle on their list. They have VX spare tire covers. It is a jeep tire cover

Even more so with no price I may be interested in the item but when I find out it is overpriced I am no longer interested.

My FX35 had one of these mounted on the roof a few inches back from the top of the front windshield. Holy cow! Did somebody really get that part for $11.61? If it works, that's a steal! The shipping is more than that.

If ya put that together with the other half ya have a $2,000+ part for about $100! If it all works right.

Apparently you embarassed the seller because the item has been removed...

Wow, that was quick....it was pretty funny & sad....
it was by a guy who said he had a nasty divorce and this was all he got to keep, but needs the money to get out of debt so was selling it cheap (like $3,700), but THEN went on to say that the ex-wife had the only key so "you can go ask her for it -good luck" or otherwise you got to tow it away. :laugho:

There's been a bunch of sellers recently on ebay that have listed VX parts, I think some are parting out VXs....probably Cash4Clunkers turned in. I started keeping track of them.
They've been listing a few parts at a time, so contact them & ask if they have the part you need. Even if they don't have anything listed right now on ebay, you can still contact them thru ebay and ask.

Or contact member "blujfan9293", he's been parting out a VX for the past year, he may still have the part you need.

Pretty nifty, and only $3 + $9.90 shipping = $12.90 to your door anywhere in the world. If you're interested, there are only 8 left (at the time of this post).

Used OEM shock set for $250... don't know if that's a good price or not, especially since the seller didn't list how many miles they have. But maybe a good investment even if you had to rebuild them? Somebody else might want to weight in here.

Nice looking JDM brochure from 1993... seller claims it was the original VehiCROSS concept, but it doesn't look at all like the one I think we all recognize (see LA '01 Meet photo album in the gallery). Notice four doors, tailgate mounted spare tire, etc. Interestingly the front grill/fascia looks a lot like the Axiom.

The bidding just ended on this one that's linked above in this thread, and it just tied the world record for the fewest bids on an eBay VX..... zero! It's been around a while on all the used car sites. I don't know how many times it's been listed on eBay. The starting price may be a little high. The page had over a thousand views, but no takers.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150407609884 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150407609884&viewitem=&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2&category=6270)

It was first titled in 5/02, so this is probably in that group of the last Vehicri to be sold and was most likely marked down to about $23K by Isuzu to move it out.

It sure looks like a nice clean VX, but all that glitters is not gold. ;)

Just got mine today. It is in super clean condition, good working order, definitely nothing like my current rusted, loose steering box. I imagine this part is several hundred new.
Looks like another project for next weekend.
